The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, July 30, reveals that Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) will stop by Newman Enterprises, where she’ll give Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) updates on Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) blocking Harrison Abbott’s (Redding Munsell) trip to Paris.
Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) will also get the news while he’s out to lunch with Victoria and Claire, so he’ll suggest maybe Claire could find another job working with kids and avoid this custody drama.
However, both Victoria and Cole will be committed to helping Claire make decisions for herself and run her own life now that she’s free of Jordan (Colleen Zenk).
At the GCAC on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will prepare to leave for the airport, but they’ll have a run-in with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) first.
Since Kyle will start gloating again, Jack will finally blow his top and make it clear that Glissade’s attempt to topple Jabot will be a colossal failure.
Kyle won’t be willing to let Jack have the last word, so he’ll follow him over to his table with Diane. After Kyle snaps about Jabot the dinosaur becoming extinct, he’ll make a prediction about Glissade becoming the next big thing and getting some respect.
Once Kyle stomps off, Diane will fret to Jack about how far Kyle will go to prove his point. Diane will relay concerns to Jack about their relationships with Kyle and fear they won’t be able to come back from all this drama.
In the car headed to the airport, Audra will warn Kyle that it’s not a good idea to provoke Jack since he could use Jabot to crush Glissade at this stage. Kyle will argue that there are certain lines Jack won’t cross, but he’ll assure her that he doesn’t have those same limitations.
Audra will tell Kyle not to let his big emotions get in the way of their big plans, but he’ll urge her not to worry and will claim he’s in control.
At Crimson Lights, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will sit down with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) on the patio, where Adam will repeat his story about losing his cool and blaming Chelsea in Baltimore.
Chelsea will appear confused, so Billy will mention that it seems like she’s exchanging looks with Adam and trying to get their stories straight.
When Chelsea finally can’t take the heat anymore, she’ll angrily ask what Billy and Sally want them to confess. Chelsea will act like being scared for Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) is enough and will snap about needing to focus on her son’s homecoming.
Once Chelsea stomps away from the table, Billy will rejoin her and insist he’s just trying to help. Billy will want Chelsea to understand that she can be honest about anything and everything, so she’ll promise to talk this out once she gets back from picking up Connor.
Chelsea will also let it slip that she wants to put all the fear, guilt and mistakes behind her, so Billy will pick up on that clue and privately mention it to Sally.
In the car on the way to the airport, Chelsea will tell Adam about her slipup as well, but he’ll downplay it and stress the importance of keeping their night together under wraps.
Although Chelsea will feel like she’s on the verge of a nervous breakdown, Adam will ask if he can count on her to hide this secret.
