The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is only delaying the inevitable at this point. Ever since Adam slept with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) in Baltimore, Y&R fans have been waiting on that mistake to blow up into major backlash.
Now Adam is making things worse by lying about the reason he’s been distant and Chelsea’s been on edge.
Adam is trying to make himself the bad guy by claiming he lashed out at Chelsea, but he’s just piling on more deception and making this more complicated.
Once Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) inevitably discovers the truth about Adam’s hot night with Chelsea, she’ll realize he lied to hide his trail.
If Adam ever had any hope of forgiveness, he just threw it right out the window!
Sally will be furious once she finds out Adam cheated and then created this big cover-up.
It seems likely Sally will be angry enough to want payback, so here’s our prediction on Sally’s three-step revenge plot.
1) Adam gets dumped
For starters, Sally will surely dump Adam for his betrayal and all the lies he told in the aftermath.
That’ll be the logical first step in making Adam pay for everything he’s done, so Sally should leave him heartbroken.
2) Sally’s bedroom vengeance
Next, Sally may hit the sheets with someone that’ll rile Adam up.
Whether that’s Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) or both, Sally may have a hot hookup or two that’ll add to Adam’s suffering.
3) Moving upward and onward
Of course, some people say the best revenge is living well, so Sally may ultimately move upward and onward following her split from Adam.
Sally may thrive in her career and could perhaps find true romantic happiness down the road.
That could sting for Adam if he finds himself pining for Sally and what might’ve been.
Adam might fight for Sally and their future, but Sally may make it crystal clear that the answer is no this time around!
