The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) confusion, loneliness and regrets could prove to be a terrible combination. Since Sharon isn’t handling her medication adjustments very well, she seems poised to do something wild – and there’s a good chance it’ll involve Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant).
Lucy has been fangirling over Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster), so it’s reminiscent of when Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) wanted to fit in with the older, cooler crowd.
The show’s already taking steps to make Lucy seem like a stand-in for Cassie in this story.
Plus, Lucy recently found out about Cassie’s grim fate and knows Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) was connected to the crash somehow.
The more Lucy digs into what happened that night, the more Y&R will tie her to Sharon’s currently storyline as well.
Of course, Lucy has repeatedly quizzed Faith about her kidnapping, so that could be a hint, too.
Is Lucy’s kidnapping obsession a clue that she’ll ultimately be kidnapped next?
Sharon has had Cassie on her mind a lot lately, so she’s been distraught over not being able to protect her beloved daughter.
What if in Sharon’s state of confusion, she comes to believe she has another chance?
Sharon has already been having some hallucinations, including a brief vision of Cassie and a moment where she thought she heard Cassie calling out to her.
Maybe Sharon will eventually hallucinate that Lucy IS Cassie in a disturbing twist!
That could lead to Sharon taking drastic action to make sure Cassie doesn’t get hurt ever again.
Sharon might marvel over Cassie coming back to her and insist she’s never going to let her go now.
It’d be easy for Sharon to give Lucy a sedative-infused beverage or something along those lines.
Lucy might awaken to find herself locked away somewhere while her loved one panic over her disappearance.
Perhaps Faith and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) could team up to come to Lucy’s rescue.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) could also play a role in helping Sharon see reality in the end.
Bottom line, Lucy will inevitably become a major part of Sharon’s mental health story, so stick with us for other predictions on how the action will heat up!
