The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that there’s one storyline that’s been getting some backlash on social media. This whole situation with Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian), Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) certainly hasn’t been a hit with fans.
Phyllis, Danny and Christine’s triangle has become a ridiculous merry-go-round that most of us just want to get off!
The only good part of this story is Danny finally declaring that he can’t handle the drama and pulling back from it.
If Phyllis is going to fight with a rival over a man, it might be better to send her back in Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) direction and have her clash with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case).
Phyllis looks rather pathetic chasing after Danny, but what she shared with Nick comes with a much deeper history and more chemistry, too.
This might be the right time to revisit Sharon and Phyllis’ feud over Nick since all three of them could use something else to do right now.
It feels like the writers are always struggling to give Sharon real content.
Sharon got a new company to run, but what did that really accomplish other than the occasional video business call on the coffeehouse patio?
Sharon is still stuck at Crimson Lights doing nothing, which is a huge waste of Sharon Case’s talent.
Phyllis and Sharon have had an entertaining rivalry over the years, so maybe Y&R could reignite their Nick feud.
We all know Phyllis tends to get interested in a man when someone else wants him.
Now that Sharon has been dreaming about Nick and contemplating their relationship, Phyllis might get in the way of a romantic reunion.
It’s worth mentioning that Phyllis and Nick will do some bonding during the week of February 12-16 and beyond.
We’ll start seeing more dinners and drinks for these exes, so Phyllis and Nick could reconnect on a stronger level.
That could set the stage for some issues with Sharon since she’s been strengthening her own bond with Nick lately as well.
Some might argue that Sharon has matured beyond all this, but where has that maturity gotten her? Sharon has been written into a boring corner, so perhaps the only way out is through some familiar feuding.
Bottom line, love triangles are always going to be a soap staple, but some are better than others!
Would you rather see Phyllis sparring with Sharon over Nick than fighting with Christine over Danny?
