The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will have to settle on a strategy to stop Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) from exposing her. Sharon recently decided she needed to deal with Phyllis somehow, but she hasn’t figured out the details yet.
“Cameron Kirsten” (Linden Ashby) may pitch in when it comes to brainstorming and nailing down exactly how to end Phyllis’ threat. Of course, it would be all kinds of suspicious if Sharon did something like poison Phyllis.
That was the original plan with Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei), but Sharon couldn’t go through with it in the end. “Cameron” may doubt that Sharon could go through with poisoning Phyllis either and argue that it’d draw too much attention anyway.
It’s possible Sharon could plot another stairwell tumble for Phyllis like the one that put her in a coma years ago, but that could raise questions, too. Sharon doesn’t need the cops to be reminded of her history with Phyllis if she’s going to wipe her off the map.
It seems like Sharon’s best bet would be to stage some sort of accident that can’t be traced back to her. What Sharon needs is a way to permanently silence her rival without suspicion being thrown in her direction.
Sharon might do something like mess with the brakes on Phyllis’ car or something along those lines. Perhaps Sharon could hope that the cops just assume it was simply a tragic accident and don’t investigate the vehicle too closely.
Then again, maybe there’s some other way for Sharon to take Phyllis out of the picture without pointing the finger at herself. Regardless, Sharon has resolved to handle Phyllis and will get some extra motivation soon enough.
Daniel’s arrest will leave Phyllis reeling and make her even more determined to clear his name. Phyllis will be working hard to prove Sharon is guilty, so Sharon may work just as hard to end her threat for good.
