The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will continue to believe she’s making romantic progress with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Nick honestly doesn’t seem to be feeling anything more than friendly feelings for Sharon at this point, but Sharon clearly has the wrong idea.
Since Sharon isn’t her right mind these days, it’s not surprising that she’s created this false narrative where she’s rebuilding her future with Nick. Sharon feels like she’s slowly inching her way to a fresh start with Nick by her side.
Of course, Sharon would love the chance to be married to Nick again and be a reunited family. As part of that plan, Y&R spoilers hint that Sharon may eventually make some even bolder moves that’ll catch Nick off guard.
Once Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) is locked away due to Sharon’s frame job, “Cameron Kirsten” (Linden Ashby) may insist it’s time to focus on grabbing the new chapter she’s been chasing.
“Cameron” might act like Nick will appreciate it if Sharon takes the initiative and makes it crystal clear what she wants. Perhaps “Cameron” will contend that Sharon has to spell out her heart’s desire or else she’ll be stuck in the friend zone forever.
Plus, we know Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) and Abby Newman-Abbott’s (Melissa Ordway) wedding is coming up. That could also serve as a marriage reminder and make Sharon think about what it’d be like to marry Nick once more.
Could all of this build to Sharon popping the question herself? Maybe Sharon will propose to Nick and insist they could have one last wedding of their dreams.
If that’s how things play out, Nick may have to reject Sharon and deliver a good dose of heartbreak. Although Nick will always love Sharon on some level, he might argue that it’s just not a good idea to go back down that road.
Could Nick’s rejection serve as a wake-up call for Sharon? Could Sharon determine that she’s been delusional about her goals and suddenly realize she’s been living in a fantasy world?
If Sharon is forced to face a harsh reality, she might open her eyes to the help she still needs. Sharon might even confess the truth about Heather Stevens’ (Vail Bloom) demise if she feels distraught enough in the end.
