The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) is playing with fire and could eventually get burned. Y&R is setting up a potential custody feud, so things may not go the way Summer wants!
Summer recently talked to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) about revisiting the custody agreement, so he asked if she was threatening him and if she really wanted to go there.
It almost seemed like Kyle’s unspoken way of reminding Summer how much she had to lose!
Kyle tried to convince Summer that this wasn’t what was best for Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell), but Summer insisted on moving forward with her plans.
Now Summer intends to have her attorney get in touch with Kyle’s, so that could get the ball rolling on the custody drama we mentioned.
The show’s been awfully vague on the current agreement and what Summer’s custody rights actually look like.
Perhaps there’s a reason for that since it’ll make it easier to strip those rights away from Summer if it comes to that.
Summer might push Kyle too hard and cause him to put his foot down as Harrison’s biological parent.
Summer has certainly been Harrison’s main mother figure for most of his life.
Tara Locke (last played by Elizabeth Leiner) went to prison, so Summer stepped up in a big way and became a mom to Harrison.
However, Kyle is the one with biological ties here and could perhaps work that angle to control Summer’s access to Harrison.
Kyle might even use the fact that Summer knew the truth about Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) faked demise against her in court.
Of course, Summer could act like Kyle’s the one putting Harrison at risk by pushing for a former psych ward patient to be his nanny, but Summer ultimately signed off on hiring Claire Grace (Hayley Erin).
If Kyle and Summer’s custody chaos does take a terrible turn, it could affect Kyle’s future at Glissade.
There’s no way Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will let Kyle keep his job if he dares to hurt Summer, so Kyle could face some consequences of his own!
