The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will mull over a huge decision during the week of July 29-August 2. Since Summer still needs to figure out a place to live, it looks like she’ll get some assistance from Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd).
Summer is gearing up for a custody feud, so she can’t go to court and expect to win if she’s living in a cramped room at the GCAC.
What Summer needs is a large house with lots of space for Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell), but she may struggle to settle on exactly the right one.
However, Summer will have a conversation with Chance that could turn out to be a game-changer.
Y&R spoilers say Chance will help Summer make a significant choice, so he may offer a suggestion when it comes to where she’ll ultimately move in with Harrison.
Chance was previously living in the Chancellor mansion until he offered it up to Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) and Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James), so they’ve been living there with Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware).
Will Y&R undo that writing decision now that Summer’s custody push is giving them a good reason to?
It’d be easy to throw in a line where Chance says Devon and Abby decided to move back in Devon’s old penthouse.
It’s not like we’ve seen any of these sets lately, so it’d be simple to claim Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) opted to move out of Daniel Romalotti Jr.’s (Michael Graziadei) building to get some distance from him after the cheating fiasco.
Maybe Devon, Abby and Dominic started to miss living in their former home and moved back there.
Chance could provide an explanation in a few sentences that would free up the Chancellor mansion once more.
If that happens, Chance might offer to let Summer move in the Chancellor manse with Harrison.
It’d be the perfect solution to rival the comfort of the lavish Abbott mansion that Harrison’s already used to, so Summer might get on board.
Of course, Chance may end up living there with Summer and Harrison as well, which would be a big step for all of them.
Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) could overhear Summer making plans with Chance and perhaps become Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) spy after all if she updates him in a phone call.
Kyle may be furious if he learns Harrison is already sleeping over at the Chancellor mansion while he’s out of town.
It could feel like Summer’s launching her next custody strategy and leave Kyle ready to fight back.
