The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will need some backup during the week of July 1-5. After Summer lands in a crisis, she’ll recruit some help from her parents and hope for the best.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) are always going to come running when their daughter needs them, so they’ll certainly listen to what Summer has to say.
Will this have something to do with Summer and Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) custody issues? Summer wants to revisit their agreement regarding Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell), but more trouble could be brewing it Kyle objects to the changes.
If this looks like it might lead to a court battle, Summer might turn to Phyllis and Nick for backup. Of course, it’s also possible Summer will seek help with something else entirely.
Summer isn’t happy about Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) landing back in Kyle’s orbit, so she’ll grill him about that soon enough.
That’ll bring Kyle’s confession about co-running Glissade with Audra, so it may not be long until Summer realizes this is all Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) doing.
Summer might seek Nick’s help to shut down this ill-advised partnership – and Phyllis’ scheming skills could perhaps be helpful in that case, too.
However, there’s a chance Summer will recruit Phyllis and Nick for some Marchetti-related project instead or at least something along those lines.
Regardless, the real point here is that Nick and Phyllis will come together when Summer needs them. Y&R fans can expect Phyllis and Nick to step up once Summer summons them with news, so it’s interesting that she’ll be pulling them closer.
That’s especially true since Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) recently admitted she wouldn’t be surprised if Nick reunited with Phyllis – and then she caught the exes holding hands.
