The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that there’ll be some major developments happening in the Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) custody story, so let’s talk about what’s coming up during the week of August 5-9.
Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) is taking care of Harrison while Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is in Paris, but problems are on the horizon.
That’s because Summer will apparently let Harrison get injured on her watch.
It’ll probably just be some minor accident, but Kyle will still be hopping mad.
If Summer had let Kyle take Harrison to Paris like he wanted, he may argue that this never would’ve happened.
Kyle may accuse Summer of negligence and argue that the judge is going to hear all about this.
It’s clear that Summer and Kyle are both willing to sink pretty low, so it’s perhaps just a matter of who can play the dirtiest!
Whatever the case, Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) will manage to make the situation worse – most likely by being the one to tip Kyle off to Harrison’s accident news while he’s in France.
Summer may get updates on that and fume over Claire inserting herself in the drama by essentially summoning Kyle.
As the custody mess escalates, Summer may realize she has to rely on her last resort.
Summer has already indicated that if she has to, she’ll turn to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) for help – and “The Moustache” is about the biggest ace in the hole someone can have!
In the August 9 episode, Victor will indeed use his connections to help Summer.
We’ll see Victor work some of his usual magic and flex his power, so Kyle isn’t going to be happy about this.
Victor has been known to do his fair share of bribing and blackmailing when the need arises, so he’ll have some tools he can use to Summer’s advantage.
Since Victor knows how much Summer adores Harrison, he’ll be invested in helping her keep her spot in the boy’s life.
Victor could also threaten to fire Kyle from Glissade if he doesn’t stand down and try to work out a real solution with Summer.
That said, Kyle might make it clear that his son matters more than his job and vow to keep fighting Summer for Harrison.
Of course, Victor is always the first person to say business is business, so maybe he’ll propose keeping Glissade separate from all the animosity that’s erupting over Harrison.
Regardless, our Y&R predictions hint that Victor will indeed make some moves on Summer’s behalf that could help her.
