The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, January 2, reveal that more mayhem is coming up in Genoa City, but we have a quick programming note to pass along first. Y&R will air a repeat on Tuesday, December 31 – and that’ll be followed by another encore presentation on Wednesday, January 1.
Fortunately, the show will resume all the usual action on Thursday, January 2, so that’s when Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will make a disturbing discovery.
Perhaps Nick will find Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) empty car outside Society and realize she’s missing.
Of course, that’ll be due to Jordan (Colleen Zenk) chloroforming Sharon and abducting her for the next phase of the plan.
Since Ian Ward (Ray Wise) wants Sharon deceased, the stakes will be awfully high as Nick tries to figure all this out and pull off a rescue.
Meanwhile, Sharon will awaken as Jordan’s hostage and realize she’s in serious trouble.
Will Jordan take Sharon back to that crummy motel or find another place to hold her hostage?
Regardless, the goal is to ultimately end Sharon’s life, so Jordan may deliver some grim warnings about what’s ahead.
Over with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), she’ll face a flood of difficult emotions after coming face to face with Ian Ward (Ray Wise).
This is the former cult leader who made a good chunk of Mariah’s life miserable, so she’ll be a mixture of terrified and furious.
That’s because Ian has drugged Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and clearly has the upper hand.
It’s possible that whatever Ian gave Tessa is actually poison that needs an antidote, so Mariah may be forced to do whatever Ian asks if she wants her wife to live.
However, Mariah won’t have to tangle with Ian alone since he has a confrontation with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) coming up during the week of December 30-January 3 as well.
Our Y&R predictions point to Ian making some shocking demands as this storyline heats up, so don’t miss what’s in store.
