The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) has a sponsor. However, after Nikki’s most recent relapse, she suspected Seth (Brian Gaskill) was drinking again. Seth admitted it and Nikki said she needed to find another sponsor.
Seth seemed almost distraught over the news. Seth also seemed to be pleading with Nikki, which suggests their dynamic could be closer than people think.
Is Seth obsessed with Nikki and could the reason be an old affair that could threaten Nikki and Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) marriage?
Nikki Newman’s Relapse
Y&R spoilers reveal that after Nikki’s showdown with Jordan (Colleen Zenk), Victor finally knew the truth about his wife’s drinking.
Nikki was committed to getting sober again. Nikki told Victor she would attend meetings again and talk to her sponsor.

When Victor found Nikki and Seth talking, he was suspicious. Nikki introduced Seth as her sponsor. Apparently, after all of these years, Nikki never mentioned Seth’s name once.
While there is supposed to be anonymity in AA, one would think Victor would have at least heard of Nikki’s sponsor.
In any case, there might be a reason why Victor’s guard went up when meeting Seth.
Seth Rejected
The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that when Nikki said she needed another sponsor, Seth didn’t take it well. Seth seemed panicked and desperate.
The pleading look in Seth’s eyes was quite telling as well. It’s possible that Seth might have developed a crush on Nikki over the years.
However, it would be much more soapy for Nikki to be hiding a secret from everyone, even Victor.
The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Obsession & Passion?
It is possible that Nikki will have more interaction with Seth in the future. Perhaps Seth won’t be able to stop thinking about Nikki. Seth might have an obsession with Nikki.
Seth might even get angry and feel “rejected” by Nikki. This could have Seth threatening to expose Nikki’s secrets.
Could one of those secrets be that Seth and Nikki had a steamy affair? Nikki might explain that she was in a very bad place.
However, the fact that Nikki never told Victor might be enough to crack the solid Newman couple.
Even though Jordan is behind bars, Nikki’s life will continue to take hits. With Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) blabbing about Nikki’s relapse to Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters), could there be an unexpected alliance?
Perhaps Seth and Diane will join forces, making a recovery even tougher for the Newman matriarch.
