The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Week of January 29 – Summer’s Problem, Claire’s Setback and Suspicious Victor

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the week of January 29-February 2 reveal that Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) may rile up Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) after getting under Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) skin.

Nikki is dealing with a lot right now, so the last thing she needs is Diane intentionally trying to add to her stress.

If Jack catches Diane provoking Nikki, he may warn his wife to back off and cause some conflict in his marriage.

Now that Diane has moved into the co-CEO spot at Jabot, there’s more at stake when it comes to keeping the peace in her relationship with Jack.

Y&R may take this opportunity to stir up some strife – and it’ll be easy to do with Jack growing closer to Nikki as her new sponsor.

Of course, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) doesn’t know about Nikki leaning on Jack for help with her alcohol issues.

That could lead to growing concerns and some terrible misunderstandings if this keeps up.

Even if Nikki doesn’t genuinely betray Victor with Jack, her husband could suspect infidelity.

Diane might also worry about Jack and Nikki’s strengthening bond, so we’ll see how it all plays out in the coming episodes.

Victor is sure to get suspicious any way you slice it, so that could reignite his rivalry with Jack and perhaps the battle between Newman Enterprises and Jabot as well.

Although Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) are happy with their friendship, things could change now that they’re both single.

Nick and Sharon may think they’re content with throwing themselves into work, but we’ll see how long their resolve lasts once their relationship potentially starts to deepen even further.

Rory Gibson (Noah Newman) posted a pic from outside the studio last month, so it looks like Noah’s return to Genoa City may be imminent.

Noah might check on Grandma Nikki, play a role in pushing his parents back together and cross paths with his ex, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), while he’s in town.

As for Claire Grace (Hayley Erin), she may face a setback due to Jordan’s (Colleen Zenk) latest phone call from prison.

Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) might see a difference in Claire’s troubling behavior, but she’ll just have to hang in there and keep trying to support her along with Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck).

Whatever the case, Claire’s mental state is still quite fragile, so there’ll be more issues on her recovery path.

Next, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will likely have an opportunity to build on her connection to Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), but there’s room for trouble thanks to Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) going after a seat on the Chancellor-Winters board.

Abby is excited about getting back in the corporate game and will land in Chance’s orbit more often as a result.

Will that lead to some insecurities for Summer? Will Summer find herself wondering if Chance secretly wants Abby back?

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chance and Summer’s romance could come with some surprising hurdles, so stay tuned for updates on any bad news that might strike.
