The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, August 1, reveals that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will open the door to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and express surprise since she forgot he was coming over. Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will remind Sharon as she lets Nick in the cottage.
Sharon will struggle to stay focused during this gentle intervention, but she’ll ultimately admit she stopped taking her meds since she didn’t like how they made her feel.
However, Sharon will seemingly see that it was a mistake now that she’s alarmed her loved ones.
Mariah, Faith and Nick will assure Sharon that this is a judgment-free zone, so they’ll get her to admit she’s been seeing Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) visions.
Once Sharon agrees to make an appointment with her doctor about her meds, she’ll suggest she needs a private retreat somewhere like New Mexico or Arizona.
Sharon won’t think a hospital stay is the right move, but she’ll still want some personal time away to work through some things she’s been avoiding – like her grief over Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) demise.
Nick, Mariah and Faith will seem encouraged over Sharon’s turning point, so they’ll leave her alone to make that doctor’s appointment – though she won’t make it on-screen.
Once Sharon gets on her laptop, she’ll have an alarming vision of Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby).
Cameron will warn that Sharon can try to run from what’s happening, but he’ll point out that she can’t hide!
At Society, Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will agree to help Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) find the perfect house, but he’ll have concerns about her sole custody push and whether she can realistically pull that off.
Since Summer will be willing to turn to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) for help if she has to, Daniel will worry about her launching yet another Newman-Abbott feud.
Summer will snap at Daniel for trying to rain on her parade, but she’ll fret to Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) later and fear that maybe she’s doing all this for nothing.
Chance will give Summer a pep talk and distract her with a romantic escape in a suite, but Summer will still end up fretting over the whole Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) situation.
Back with Daniel on Thursday’s Y&R episode, he’ll look troubled after eavesdropping on Nick, Mariah and Faith’s conversation about the night of Cassie’s crash.
Once Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) updates Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) on Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) going after Abbott-Chancellor, she’ll admit she’s only been pretending to go along with Billy’s grand plans.
Lily will suggest that she’s trying to keep Billy close and protect the company, so she’ll think she’s a step ahead of Victor now.
Devon will guess that maybe Victor wants Billy tipped off so he’ll make some impulsive move that spells trouble.
However, Lily will still give Billy the news about Victor’s goal and leave him determined to protect Abbott-Chancellor.
