The Young and the Restless Thursday, May 2 Recap: Jack Passes Out on Pills & Booze, Relapses as Nikki Panics

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, May 2, reveals that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will finally convince Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) to let him in her suite, which will look disastrous after her bender.

Jack will start cleaning the room and will order a greasy meal from room service to sober Nikki up, but she won’t be interested in eating it.

All Nikki will want to do is drink, so she’ll insist she’s a lost cause and act like Jack’s got an ego for thinking he can still help her.

Jack will refuse to leave despite Nikki’s repeated attempts to get rid of him on Thursday’s Y&R episode.

Although Jack will urge Nikki to come with him to a meeting, she’ll stand her ground.

Nikki won’t even be comforted by the fact that Jordan (Colleen Zenk) is gone and the news that both hostages are free.

Although Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) and Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) were found safe, Nikki will worry about all the trauma they’ll have to endure because of her.

Jack will feel like it’s time for Nikki to start thinking about rehab, but she won’t believe anything can help her now.

When Jack tries to convince Nikki to recover for her family, she’ll bring up her nightmare and act like they’re better off without her.

After Nikki taunts Jack about how he failed, he’ll finally decide to join her and down some vodka as well.

Nikki will point out that drinking has never been Jack’s problem, so he’ll get his old dealer on the phone and have a bag of pills delivered.

Although Nikki will initially assume Jack’s putting on an act, she’ll eventually grow more concerned – especially once he takes a pill and washes it down with alcohol.

Jack will end up popping even more pills as he rants about all the stress he’s been under.

Once Jack talks about this ordeal with Harrison and Claire, he’ll also mention Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) crisis and offer updates on Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) issues with Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) at work.

Now that Jack has proven to be a failure as a sponsor, he’ll just embrace the party and the relief.

Furthermore, Jack will want to put himself in Nikki’s shoes instead of just offering up the usual platitudes.

Nikki will beg Jack to stop all the pill popping, but he’ll keep at it and ask how it feels to be unable to stop someone you love from hurting themselves.

After Jack starts to feel the effects of mixing pills and booze, he’ll try to get Nikki to dance with him.

Nikki will admit she was wrong and insist they both need a meeting now, but he’ll think they should stay in this private paradise.

When Jack suddenly keels over on the sofa, Nikki will panic over not being able to wake him up.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack may have major regrets after taking things too far, so stick with us for predictions on the consequences that are brewing.
