The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, July 16, reveals that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will push Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins-Abbott’s (Susan Walters) buttons over Glissade, but Jack will finally wish his son success – and Diane will back him up.
At the office later, Diane will worry that backing off is the wrong strategy, but Jack will think it’s the best thing they can do – though he’ll hold out hope that Kyle eventually comes around and sees the error of his ways.
At the GCAC, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will acknowledge that Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) said last night was “fun and done,” but he’ll hope he can lobby for fun in the future.
As long as Nate understands the ground rules, Audra will indeed by open to more fun.
Once Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) spies Audra and Nate at the same table, he’ll walk over to congratulate Audra on her Glissade role and push her to go after Jack. Nate will find the interaction odd, so he’ll suspect Victor is Glissade’s secret investor.
Audra will deny it, but Nate will still offer a warning about Victor and his lack of loyalty.
When Kyle comes along, Nate will head out and leave him to talk business with Audra.
However, Kyle will irritate Audra by fishing for answers about her relationship with Nate.
Audra will argue that her personal life is none of Kyle’s business and confront him about trying to push her out of the picture at Glissade.
Kyle won’t think you can blame a guy for trying to score the sole CEO position, but he’ll agree act like he’s ready to work as a team now.
Unfortunately, Kyle will prove he doesn’t trust Audra by insisting on taking the Paris trip with her after all.
At Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman), he’ll sit with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) as they wrap up a video call with Dr. Hammond.
Although Chelsea and Adam will be relieved over Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) progress, she’ll wonder why Adam doesn’t look happier.
Chelsea will think this is about what they did in Baltimore and will confess to almost telling Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) the truth.
Adam won’t be happy about that almost admission of guilt and will still want to just put that night behind them.
Now Adam’s concern will be his potential return to Newman Media since Victor is targeting someone he cares about.
Chelsea will get the feeling that Adam has already made up his mind to return, but she’ll warn him to be careful.
Afterward on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Adam will stop by Victor’s office and announce that he accepts his dad’s offer.
Once Adam adds that there’s a condition, he’ll refuse to fabricate reports, sling mud or do anything that would hurt Jack and his family.
Victor will decide that he agrees to Adam’s condition, so he’ll be glad to welcome his son back to Newman Media.
At Society, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will tell Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) that she’s returning to Newman Enterprises, but she’ll still have concerns about Victor’s plans for Adam and whether Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will eventually get her job back.
Once Victor summons Nick and Victoria to his office, there’ll be some talk about Adam officially being back at Newman Media.
Victor will also mention Victoria and Nick teaming up at Newman Enterprises, but Victoria will express concern for Nikki and whether she’ll be able to return to Newman Media later.
Adam will be curious about what the future holds for him too, but Victor will lash out and insist his children should be celebrating this good news about working together.
Once the meeting breaks up, Victoria and Nick will corner Adam privately to seek answers about Victor’s ulterior motives.
Since they’ll assume Victor told Adam more, Nick and Victoria will want to know what their father is up to.
At Crimson Lights, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will gaze at the photo she stashed of herself with Nick and Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes).
Once Chelsea pops up, Sharon will tuck it away.
Chelsea will give Sharon updates on Connor’s latest highs and lows.
Although Connor seems to have turned a positive corner, Chelsea will fret over not being able to make predictions about future episodes for her son.
Sharon will look distant as she reflects on sometimes not being able to protect your children, so she’ll obviously be thinking of Cassie.
