The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, July 23, reveals that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will offer Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) a golf putter as a gift since he used to do his best brainstorming during putting practice.
Once Lily and Billy do some putting together in the office, he’ll apologize for accusing her of trying to double-cross him.
Billy will feel like Lily is right where she’s meant to be, so she’ll think that’s the case, too.
At Newman Media, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will keep trying to figure out what Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is holding back, so he’ll admit it’s about Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and a terrible mistake he made.
Adam will lie about lashing out at Chelsea and blaming her for Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) issues while he was upset.
Sally won’t think Chelsea holds it against Adam since she didn’t even mention it earlier.
Adam will act like that’s because Chelsea is a better person than him and will add that he came clean to Billy about what happened.
After Adam apologizes for pushing Sally away, she’ll be understanding about the whole thing.
However, Adam will shut Sally down when she pushes for more details and will think it’s best to just move past it.
Sally will assure Adam that they’re good before she leaves for a meeting, but she’ll still seem pensive as she leaves.
At the cottage, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will get a text from Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) asking if she’s on her way back to the office.
There’ll be a meeting that Sharon clearly forgot about, but she’ll get distracted again once Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) arrives.
Nick will want to talk to Sharon about what’s going on with her and will express concern about her blowing up at Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) earlier.
Sharon will remind Nick that she’s been dealing with some med adjustments, but he’ll worry since that’s been going on for a while now.
However, Sharon will act like her doctor is on top of things and will make a prediction about being back to normal soon.
After Sharon reflects on the Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) memories that have been stirred up for her lately, she’ll also note that Phyllis knows how to push her buttons.
Sharon will reflect on the storms that she’s weathered with Nick and suggest that “Hurricane Phyllis” has been at the center of almost all of them.
As for Nick, Sharon will appreciate that he cares, but she’ll continue trying to downplay her troubling behavior.
Once Nick gets summoned to Newman Enterprises, Sharon will imagine him returning to her place and pulling her into a passionate kiss.
In Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) office, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will keep pressuring him to reveal his long-term plans, so he’ll get Adam and Nick in there for a family meeting.
Victor will eventually reveal that he wants Adam to remain at Newman Media permanently while Nikki takes over a company he’s acquiring – one that’s almost as big as Newman Enterprises.
Nikki will scoff over taking over some company she has no connection to, but Victor will insist she’ll be quite familiar with it – and he’ll think Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) is smiling down on this move.
“You are about to take control of Chancellor Industries,” Victor will declare on Tuesday’s Y&R episode.
