The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, July 9, reveals that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will hug Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) as they reunite following her Baltimore trip, so that’ll give her a chance to flash back to hitting the sheets with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
Billy will take Chelsea out to breakfast at the GCAC, but she’ll ultimately decide she’d rather go home and get some rest.
After Billy suggests they can grab some groceries and get Chelsea settled in, she’ll admit she doesn’t deserve him.
Billy will insist Chelsea’s stuck with him – hopefully forever it he has anything to say about it.
Meanwhile, Adam will return home to Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and embrace her as he flashes back to his hotel hookup with Chelsea.
Sally will suspect something happened since Adam will get quiet at the mention of Chelsea’s name, but he’ll act like he just has a lot on his mind.
Although Sally will fear she caused conflict by pushing Adam and Chelsea to get along, Adam will act like everything’s fine.
Sally will end up taking a couple hours off work to hang out with Adam and support him, so he’ll gush over how patient she’s being.
Once Sally points out that they’ve been through a lot, she’ll express confidence that they can get through this, too.
In the park, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will meet with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), so Kyle will come clean about telling Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) about his Glissade job and will assume Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) knows now, too.
Audra and Kyle will also talk about dividing their co-CEO responsibilities with Audra handling things in Paris for a bit while Kyle prepares for their GC relocation.
Victor will seem concerned about Kyle and Audra splitting duties since he wants them to work as a team.
After Victor sends Kyle off with the keys to the new offices, he’ll warn Audra that Kyle tried to act like they didn’t need her. Audra won’t be surprised or really care, but Victor will still urge her to watch her back.
At Society, Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) will have breakfast with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), so she’ll admit that Victor warned against her friendship with Kyle.
Claire will wonder if that’s because of Victor’s feud with Jack, so Victoria and Nikki will acknowledge that rivalry’s been going on a long time. However, Nikki and Victoria will stress the importance of Claire making her own decisions and living her own life.
Once the news breaks about Kyle taking over Glissade with Audra, Victoria and Nikki will both be taken aback.
Based on Claire’s reaction, Nikki and Victoria will realize that Kyle confided in her ahead of the press release.
When Kyle shows up to speak with Claire, they’ll step over to the bar together.
After Claire updates Kyle on Victor’s warning, Kyle will seem confused and a little hurt over Victor’s attitude toward him.
Audra will show up next and seem annoyed over Kyle wasting time talking to Claire instead of checking out the new offices. Kyle will force another delay since he’ll have one more thing he wants to do.
Back with Victoria, she’ll talk to Nikki about Claire’s Newman status and will hint about a name change.
When Claire returns to the table, Victoria will surprise her by asking how she’d feel about changing her last name to Newman.
At Jabot on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Jack and Diane will realize Victor is the anonymous investor who hired Kyle to work alongside Audra.
Diane will point out that Victor’s latest round of fury started with Jack and Nikki’s night in that GCAC suite.
Jack will get fed up with all Diane’s reminders of that and will basically argue that Victor would’ve found some other excuse if it wasn’t this.
Diane will apologize since she’s forgiven Jack and will confess that she’s really just angry at herself for how things went down with Kyle.
Jack will be sorry for snapping as well and will decide to pay Victor another visit.
That’ll leave Diane alone when Kyle shows up to gloat now the Glissade news is official, so they’ll have another fierce faceoff.
At Newman Enterprises, Jack will confront Victor and accuse him of being the anonymous investor who hired Kyle to help run Glissade.
Victor will act like that’s nonsense, but Jack will keep at it and warn that Victor’s going to pay for this.
Victor will eventually fly into a rage and contend that Jack’s just facing the consequences of being a lousy father, so he’ll think Jack should learn to live with them.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor and Jack have much more hostility ahead of them, so stick with more predictions on all the Newman-Abbott drama!
