The Young and the Restless Update: Tuesday, January 2 – Newman Enterprises Shakeup, Victoria’s Turning Point & Nikki’s Vow

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, January 2, reveals that there’ll be some new paths to head down. After an encore episode on Monday, January 1, it’ll be time to get back to fresh content on Tuesday’s show.

First, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will promise he’s not going anywhere, so Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will get some peace of mind as she once again tries to tackle her sobriety crisis.

Victor’s support will be encouraging for Nikki, who’ll vow to put in the work and conquer the obstacles that Jordan (Colleen Zenk) has forced back in her path.

Jordan manipulated Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) into helping her shove Nikki off the wagon, but now Nikki has a chance to take charge of her own recovery.

It’ll be tough for Nikki to avoid temptation, but she’ll start attending AA meetings again and will ultimately meet a guy named Seth (Brian Gaskill) who proves helpful.

As for Victor, he’ll take a step back from his duties at Newman Enterprises since Nikki will need more of his attention.

Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) might be offered an opportunity to lead the company again, but business isn’t a priority for her right now.

All Victoria can think about is comforting Claire and trying to bond with her, so she’ll concentrate on her daughter instead of who’s running the show at Newman.

However, the company still needs a leader, so Victor will ultimately appoint two of them.

Y&R spoilers say Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will be given co-CEO status along with an order to get along.

Victor doesn’t have the time and energy to play referee at the moment – not when Nikki is in such a bad place with her sobriety.

That’s why Victor will push Adam and Nick to just keep the peace for once.

Naturally, establishing a truce won’t be easy for Nick and Adam.

That’s particularly true now that Adam’s growing closer to Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and stirring up some jealousy for Nick.

Nevertheless, Nick was the one who chose to dump Sally and push her back in Adam’s direction, so he knows his decision to let her go was for the best.

Although Adam won’t be happy about being kept out of the loop during all the Jordan and Claire mayhem, he’ll be willing to put the animosity aside.

Nick and Adam will agree to work together as a team, so that’ll be good news as far as Victor’s concerned.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam and Nick’s truce could be short-lived, so stay tuned for updates on the next hurdle for these brothers.
