The Young and the Restless’ Vail Bloom Talks Heather’s Resurrection, Predicts It’s Not the Last Time Fans Will See Character

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Vail Bloom (Heather Stevens) is finally speaking out about her character’s fatal exit.

Heather faced a blow to the head that proved lethal after sparring with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), which led to Sharon disposing of her body in the river.

Although some fans held onto hope that it might’ve been a dream or hallucination, Heather’s demise is apparently the real deal.

At least unless some soapy twist comes along!

Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) makes a somber morgue visit to identify Heather’s corpse in the October 2 episode, so Heather’s loved ones will soon be in mourning.

In an interview with TV Insider, Vail Bloom admitted she was given about three weeks’ notice regarding Heather’s fatality and that some sadness came with the news.

At the same time, Bloom understood that her character’s grim fate would open the door to major drama for those left behind.

Bloom also expressed her gratitude for being able to reprise the role and stick around in it for as long as she did.

It’s clear that Bloom isn’t holding any grudges over Y&R’s decision to cut her loose.

That said, Bloom would certainly be open to making a comeback as Heather if there’s a crazy story that calls for it.

Anything can happen in Genoa City, so Bloom isn’t ruling it out.

“I’m a huge fan of resurrection,” Bloom said.

She goes on to say, “I think what’s really fun about daytime as opposed to maybe other formats is you can experience things beyond your wildest dreams.”

Bloom confirmed that if fans wanted to see more of Heather, she’d be on board with returning to the role.

Could there be some soapy strategy to bring Heather back to life?

That’s a possibility to consider, especially when you think about the fact that Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) is still in the land of the living!

Diane is a character who seemed gone for good, but she ultimately rose from the “grave” since her demise was faked.

At the very least, Sharon could start hallucinating Heather along with “Cameron Kirsten” (Linden Ashby) and create some interesting shouting matches in her own mind.

Regardless, Vail Bloom offered a prediction that offers hope to any grieving Heather fans.

“I don’t think it’s the last time you’ll see Heather,” Bloom hinted, “You really never know in the wonderful, wild world of soaps.”

The Young and the Restless spoilers say some unpleasant surprises are headed Sharon’s way, so stay tuned for updates on all the chaos she’ll endure.
