The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, August 21, reveal that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will fish for information from Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) as they continue their conversation at the athletic club.
Once Nikki shows some compassion for all the Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) drama that Lily’s had to tackle, she’ll score some interesting news.
Lily will trust Nikki enough to offer the inside scoop, so she may admit she wants to push Billy out at Abbott-Chancellor.
Since Lily believes Billy will do more harm than good for the company, Nikki may lean into that and insist she also wants to protect Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) legacy.
This is Nikki’s chance to lure Lily into an alliance, so we’ll see if it pays off.
Meanwhile, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will speak privately with Billy and most likely bring up Jill Abbott’s (Jess Walton) health struggles.
Billy may wonder how Victor became privy to Jill’s treatment in London and grow curious about how he’ll use this info to his advantage.
Victor plans to have Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) threaten to leak Jill’s cardiac problems through Newman Media, so Billy should get updates on those plans soon enough.
Over with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), he’ll scheme with Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Jess Walton) and hope they can ruin the deal that Victor has struck with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Victor is the last person Diane and Jack would ever want to be giving Kyle orders, so they’ll want to end Kyle’s involvement at Glissade as soon as possible.
That’ll be easier said than done, but Diane will be committed to playing dirty if that’s what it takes.
Although Jack won’t love the idea of resorting to Victor’s level of ruthless behavior, Diane will think getting their son back is more important than morality here.
In the end, it looks like Jack will back Diane up on that and know playing dirty is indeed the only way to win – at least when you’re going up against Victor.
