The Young and the Restless Wednesday, July 10 Recap: Kyle Warns Summer She's Not Harrison's Bio Mom

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, July 10, reveals that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will quiz Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) about why she’d hire Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) to be her co-CEO considering they have such a messy history.

Audra will play up Kyle’s expertise and act like she can handle him before teasing Nate about perhaps being jealous. However, Audra will eventually admit she’s already under attack since Kyle wants to push her out.

When Nate wonders why Audra doesn’t just fire Kyle, she’ll explain that her secret investor hand-picked him for the job.

Audra still won’t be willing to divulge that investor’s identity, so Nate will mull all this over and warn that it sounds like too much trouble.

At the Abbott mansion, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will lash out over Kyle keeping her in the dark about his decision to move out.

Since Glissade is based in Paris, she’ll refuse to let Kyle take Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) there.

Kyle will joke about Paris being nice this time of year before urging Summer to relax since he’s not planning to leave town.

After Kyle makes more flippant remarks during this discussion, Summer will accuse him of not taking this seriously.

Summer will rant about Kyle putting his selfish need to get away from Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) above Harrison’s stability.

Kyle will argue that Summer doesn’t get a say in where he lives, but she’ll fire back about getting a say when it comes to Harrison.

After Kyle hints that maybe that’s not the case, he’ll admit he’s trying to have compassion following his encounter with Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei). Summer won’t be happy about Daniel and Kyle talking about her behind her back.

On Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Summer will also act like Kyle would rather spend time with babysitter Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) and bedroom-buddy Audra than focus on what’s best for Harrison.

Once Summer rants about Kyle’s bad decisions, she’ll suggest that he’s giving her ammunition to go after primary custody.

Kyle will warn Summer to stop with all the threats since she’s not even Harrison’s biological mother.

If Summer wants a custody feud, Kyle will urge her to bring it since she’s going to fail.

Claire will end up walking in on the conflict after picking Harrison up from camp, but she’ll reveal that he’s in the backyard and didn’t hear anything.

After Summer takes off, Kyle will ask Claire to join him for a walk and will apologize for all the Summer drama.

Claire will worry that she’s part of the problem, but Kyle will be grateful that she’s in Harrison’s life as well as his own.

Over with Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom), she’ll seem glum over her job search efforts and will suggest it’s a sign that maybe she should visit Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) in Portugal.

Daniel will decide that if they can get Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) on board, then they could turn it into a family trip.

At Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) house, she’ll look at the photos in Cassie Newman’s (Camryn Grimes) scrapbook before Lucy shows up at the door with a bracelet she wants to give Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster).

While Lucy’s waiting on Faith to return from an outing with her friends, she’ll notice the scrapbook and wonder if those are pics of Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) as a child.

Sharon will explain that Mariah had a twin named Cassie who passed away in a car crash when she was 14, so Lucy will express how sorry she is and question Sharon about what Cassie was like.

When Faith comes home, she’ll accept the bracelet and make plans to meet up with Lucy later.

Faith will seem eager to get rid of Lucy so that she can ask about the scrapbook that’s out.

Since Sharon has been more emotional over Cassie lately, Faith will fear that’s her fault for asking too many questions the other day.

After Sharon admits she just needs a good cry sometimes, she’ll offer reassurance before Faith leaves.

Sharon will ultimately take a photo of herself with Cassie and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) out of the scrapbook.

Once Sharon puts it in her purse, she’ll leave the cottage looking rather anxious.

At the coffeehouse, Summer will blast Daniel for talking to Kyle and making her seem like she’s irrational.

Daniel will hint about Summer overreacting and suggest it’d be better to have a calm conversation instead of jumping right to a custody battle.

Summer will act like it’s impossible to reason with Kyle, especially when he’s throwing the fact that she’s not Harrison’s biological mother in her face.

Sharon will arrive just before Summer stomps off and will eventually give Daniel updates on Lucy’s earlier visit.

After Sharon says she told Lucy about Cassie without offering details on the crash, Daniel will be relieved since he won’t know if Lucy’s ready to face her dad’s guilt.

Back with Lucy, she’ll meet up with Heather and mention hearing about Cassie from Sharon.

Heather will note that it’s taken Daniel a long time to get past what happened, so Lucy will seem puzzled and suspicious.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Lucy will inevitably learn more news about Cassie’s last night alive, so stick with us for predictions on how she’ll react.
