The Young and the Restless Wednesday, July 17 Recap: Kyle Invites Claire & Harrison to Paris, Adam Storms Out on Sally

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, July 17, reveals that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will cross paths with Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) in the park, so she’ll hope Faith doesn’t have a negative opinion of her following Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) honesty hour.

Faith will assure Phyllis that she understands before talk turns to her recent breakup.

Phyllis will feel confident that Faith will find the right guy eventually – and when she does, he’ll be the lucky one.

At Society on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will overhear Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) phone call regarding his travel arrangements with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), so she’ll push his buttons about this Paris trip for two.

Kyle will insist it’s just business and lash out at Summer since he heard from her lawyer.

After Kyle insists there’s no way Summer is getting primary custody of Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell), she’ll act like they can let the court decide.

Kyle will get fed up with Summer always acting so threatened and will suggest maybe he should just take Harrison and Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) along to Paris.

Summer will rant about Kyle trying to hurt her, but he’ll fire back about her ego before stomping off.

Phyllis will witness the end of that confrontation and point out that Summer can’t get into it like that with Kyle publicly – not when lawyers are involved.

Although Phyllis won’t think Claire is a threat, she’ll believe Audra is real trouble and will ask Summer how they can get rid of her.

Once Kyle heads to the Abbott mansion, he’ll excitedly ask Claire if she has a passport that’s up to date.

When Claire confirms she does, Kyle will pitch the idea of her coming along with Harrison on his business trip to Paris.

At Crimson Lights, Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) will seem thrilled over her family’s own trip to Portugal, but Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) will admit she doesn’t want to go – and she’ll blab that Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) doesn’t either.

Heather will seem irritated at first, but then she’ll talk to Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) and learn it’s blazing hot in Lisbon right now.

Since Paul will recommend waiting until the fall, Heather will decide they’re all staying in Genoa City.

Once Faith pops up, Lucy will give her the good news about staying in town. Lucy will ask if they can hang out tonight – and when Faith tries to turn her down because of a pool party, Lucy will ask if she can come.

At Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) place, he’ll give Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) updates on his decision to accept Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) offer to run Newman Media again.

Adam will also explain the complications and how Victor wants to target Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).

Although Adam will mention his condition about not hurting Jack, Sally will worry about Victor leading Adam down a bad road again.

Adam will act like Sally isn’t giving him much credit and will suggest she doesn’t know him as well as she thought.

After Adam storms out, he’ll take a breather in the park and run into Chelsea.

Adam will think it’s best if they don’t lean on each other, but then they’ll start talking about how they know each other better than anyone else.

Chelsea and Adam will acknowledge that when somebody knows all your flaws and secrets, you don’t have to act around them and can just be yourself.

At the GCAC, Sally will spill to Audra about Adam taking over Newman Media – and she’ll mention Victor’s desire to use the company against Jack as well.

Sally will act like this is going to be a disaster and will worry about Adam getting caught in the crossfire.

When Audra confesses that Victor is Glissade’s secret investor, she’ll ask Sally to be discreet.

Sally will fear Audra’s going to get caught in the crossfire as well, but Audra won’t be worried since she always comes out on top!
