The Young and the Restless Wednesday, October 16 Recap: Heather’s Scared Text Found – Chance Kicks Daniel Out of Crime Scene

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, October 16, reveals that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will recruit Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to use Newman Media and report on all the upheaval happening at Abbott-Chancellor. Adam will vow to get his mudslingers right on it and will have no problem targeting Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).

Victor will also want Adam to smooth things over regarding Audra Charles’ (Zuleyka Silver) departure from Glissade.

That’ll lead to a discussion about Adam’s concerns regarding Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and his company.

Of course, Victor will act like he’s a better mentor for Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and certainly won’t mind if Glissade’s success brings down Jabot.

When Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) arrives outside Victor’s office, Adam will grill him about Victor’s plan.

Michael won’t know much of anything, but he’ll see that Adam’s acting protective of Jack.

After Michael privately warns Victor about Adam feeling exploited as his attack dog, Victor will insist he’ll fire Adam if he doesn’t do what he’s told.

At the GCAC on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Audra will sit down with Jack and suggest a mutually beneficial deal.

Since Jack wants his son back and Audra wants Glissade back, she’ll think they can help each other out.

Jack won’t want to work with Audra or bargain over Kyle, but she’ll act like her knowledge of Glissade’s inner workings could be useful.

Audra will also point out that Victor is the real enemy here since he’s the secret investor and has been pulling Kyle’s strings.

Although Jack will appreciate confirmation on that news, he’ll frustrate Audra with his unwillingness to give her anything in return.

All Jack will offer is a warning about Audra not being able to defeat Victor and most likely never running Glissade again.

Meanwhile, Billy will tell Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) that he has no choice but to fire her or else he could lose everything.

Bringing Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) back will be out of the question, but Billy will feel obligated to surrender to Jill Abbott’s (Jess Walton) demand regarding Phyllis.

Although Phyllis will protest and keep trying to offer alternatives, Billy will stand his ground.

Phyllis will finally decide to make a pitch to Jill herself and convince her woman-to-woman that she’s right for this job. Billy will act like even letting Phyllis do that could jeopardize his position, but Phyllis won’t care.

Phyllis will ultimately suggest that Billy can either let her win Jill over or be Mommy’s puppet dancing on a string.

At Daniel Romalotti Jr.’s (Michael Graziadei) apartment, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will talk about having the stained towel tested to confirm whose blood is on it.

Daniel will offer up Heather Stevens’ (Vail Bloom) passcode so that Chance can get inside her phone, but he’ll be surprised when it doesn’t work.

However, Daniel will find a workaround and change the passcode through the cell provider, which will allow Chance to look through Heather’s calls and text messages.

There’ll be an unsent message to Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) about how Heather and Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) might come to Lisbon soon.

In that text, “Heather” will claim that she’s scared and that Daniel’s anger issues have resurfaced even worse.

Daniel will flip out since he never gave Heather any reason to be scared – and they weren’t fighting nonstop like the text suggested.

Chance will refuse to let Daniel handle the phone again and will push him to find somewhere else to stay with Lucy since this is now a crime scene.

Daniel will continue to lash out over being treated like a suspect, but Chance will push Daniel to leave now since forensics will be coming soon for a more thorough search.

Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) is obviously behind “Heather’s” unsent message to Paul, so we’ll bring you updates on any other sneaky moves she might make!
