The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, September 18, reveals that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will accept Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) offer to be his COO, so he’ll agree to have a contract drawn up and will ultimately shake on the deal.
Billy will also give Phyllis news about his plan to acquire Odyssey Seven, but she’ll question if this is about proving something to Jill Abbott (Jess Walton).
However, Billy will deny that and insist it’s not about Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) either.
After Billy explains Lily’s sabotage, he’ll send Phyllis off to call Odyssey Seven’s CEO so they can set a date to sign the final papers.
When Phyllis returns, she’ll admit the guy is suddenly acting all nervous and shady like something’s changed.
Billy won’t understand since this CEO was previously all in, but Phyllis will suspect maybe Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) got to him.
Once Billy points out that Lily knew about the deal, he’ll realize she may have helped Victor and betrayed him once again.
In Victor’s office on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, he’ll rant about all the losers Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) has dated and act like Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) is no better.
Although Victor will reiterate that Cole should stay away from Victoria, Cole will refuse to do that.
In the park, Victoria will admit to Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) that she’s proceeding with caution when it comes to her romance with Cole.
It’ll be obvious that Victoria’s history of heartbreak is haunting her, but Claire will think she should let the past go.
Claire will also admit her kiss with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), but she’ll offer of list of reasons why this might not go anywhere – including the fact that Kyle is her boss.
That said, Claire will admit she wouldn’t have to worry about that if she took that job offer working for Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).
Although Claire won’t know for sure yet, she’ll like that she can choose her own path in life now.
Cole will eventually join Victoria and Claire in the park, but Victoria will have to rush off to work. Once Claire and Cole are alone, they’ll tease each other with quizzes about their love lives.
Claire will also mention that Victoria is scared of getting her heart broken again, so she’ll give Cole that info so he can help reassure her.
At Newman Enterprises, Nikki will get updates on Victor’s disapproval when it comes to Cole and Victoria’s romance.
Since Victor won’t reveal all the Jordan jail cell drama, Nikki won’t get why he dislikes Cole and will wonder what she’s missing.
Victoria will eventually arrive to pitch a solution that would save Billy from humiliation.
Although Victoria will think they should buy Chancellor out and let Billy start his own Abbott Enterprises, Victor will balk at the idea.
Victoria will warn about Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) and Katie Abbott’s (Sienna Mercuri) reaction to Grandpa Victor going after their dad like this.
Even so, Victor will welcome the chance to humiliate Billy and won’t think Victoria would be able to talk him into an agreement anyway.
Victoria will at least want to try, but Victor will insist there’ll be no deal with Billy and add that his plan is already in motion.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Billy and Victor’s feud could reach a whole new level soon, so we’ll bring you more predictions on all the erupting hostility and the trouble that’ll result.
