The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the week of August 5-9 reveal that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) may not keep the upper hand for long. Summer pulled off a win when she blocked Harrison Abbott’s (Redding Munsell) trip to Paris, but Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will find a way to strike back soon enough.
Since Kyle is willing to play dirty in this custody feud, Y&R spoilers suggest Summer had better be ready for anything.
Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) doesn’t want to get stuck in the middle of all this, but it’s a little late for that now!
Since it looks like Claire may end up serving as Kyle’s spy after all, that could create even more tension in her relationship with Summer.
Claire would prefer to make peace with her cousin, but another round of Summer’s hostility seems poised to erupt.
Meanwhile, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will face an enemy crisis after Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) do some plotting together.
Once Billy gets targeted, he’ll have to brace for a tough fight.
Although Billy will certainly dig his heels in and work to protect Abbott-Chancellor, he’ll deal with some bad news and major bumps in the road.
It’ll be interesting to see how things pan out for Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), especially after Devon Hamilton-Winters’ (Bryton James) warning to join Winters before disaster hits Abbott-Chancellor.
Of course, Billy will continue to deal with concerns about Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and the secret she’s keeping with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
Chelsea vowed to have a real talk with Billy once she returned from Baltimore, so will she keep that promise?
Regardless, Chelsea may keep acting like she’s just been stressed over Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) ordeal.
Perhaps Chelsea will insist things are going to be better once Connor settles in at home.
Connor is indeed returning to Genoa City, so will he pick up on the difference in Chelsea and Adam’s behavior?
Could Connor also suspect something isn’t quite right?
Whatever the case, Chelsea slipped up when she told Billy that she wanted to put all the guilt and mistakes behind her.
That clue may play on repeat for Billy and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) as they try to figure out the whole truth.
Finally, let’s talk about Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) since she’ll have to cope with her worst nightmare.
It looks like Sharon will experience total terror thanks to some Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) hallucinations, so she could lash out in some wild and aggressive ways.
The Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of August 5-9 will bring the fallout of Sharon’s downward spiral, so we’ll bring you more predictions on who might get hurt and updates on any other trouble that’s looming.
