Tracker has had an explosive Season 1, premiering after this year’s Super Bowl LVIII. It became an instant success, as CBS’s most-watched series since Young Sheldon debuted in 2017. As per Nielsen ratings, the drama has attracted16 million viewers across multiple platforms.
Starring This Is Us alum, Justin Hartley, the follows Colter Shaw, a tracker and survivalist who assists in finding people to collect a monetary reward. Season 1 had 13 episodes, and with the finale taking place this past Sunday, May 19, fans sit in speculation, wondering what Season 2 will bring.
Tracker Season 2: When Will New Shows Be Released?
Tracker was the first series CBC renewed for the 2024/2025 season. The network’s president, Amy Reisenback told The Hollywood Reporter that, “Tracker kicked off our premiere week with a ratings bang and has kept the momentum going. We knew we had something special when we saw the very first cut of the series and the overwhelming audience response confirms it.”
As of this writing, CBS hasn’t announced Season’s 2’s official premiere date, but fans can expect the first show of the 2024/2025 season to likely air sometime in September/October.
Tracker Season 2: The Cast For The Second Season
As of this writing, Tracker’s Season 2 cast hasn’t been confirmed. While fans can expect to see Hartley back in the role of Colter Shaw, there is no word yet on whether or not the rest of the cast will return. This includes, Robin Weigert (Teddi Bruin), Abby McEnany (Velma Bruin), Eric Graise (Bobby Exley), and Fiona Rene (Reenie Greene).
Still, Season 1 also featured a number of guest stars including, Melissa Roxburgh playing Colter’s little sister Dory, Jensen Ackles, playing Colter’s older brother Russell, as well as Hartley’s real-wife, Sofia Pernas, playing Colter’s ex, Billie Matalon. Hartley noted in a recent Collider interview that, “(Sofia) is coming back. Jensen (Ackles) is gonna come back. Melissa (Roxburgh) is gonna come back.”
Looks like fans will likely see these characters return; however, only time will tell.
