Justin Hartley recently revealed to Deadline that his real-life wife, Sofia Pernas, is set to make multiple appearances on Tracker, come Season 2. He notes, “She’s definitely coming back. We have some pretty cool stuff for her to do next year. She’ll be back several times next year.” Sofia plays Colter Shaw’s ‘rival’, Billie Matalon in the series.
With that being said, Billie won’t be the only familiar character from Season 1 making a comeback during Season 2.
Tracker Season 2: The Shaw Siblings Return
Hartley, who not only stars on Tracker but is also the show’s executive producer, states that there are also plans to bring back other memorable characters in Season 2, including Colter’s siblings Dory Shaw, played by actress Melissa Roxburgh and Russell Shaw, played by actor Jensen Ackles.
Justin notes, “We have plans to bring back my whole family. We have a lot of questions to answer with Colter’s mother. Jennifer Morrison does this really wonderful performance [as Colter’s childhood friend Lizzy]. I think we’d be remiss not to bring her back.”
Hartley goes on to say, “We built this really great group of actors [who are] hopefully more than willing to come back, because we’d love to play more with them. We have a bunch of stories to tell with all [of them].”
Tracker Season 2: Justin Hartley Comments On Working With His Wife
Season 1’s finale recently aired on CBS Sunday, May 19. Hartley took the time to reflect on highlights of the series to date, and specifically opened up about working with his wife. Justin states, “We have a great time together. I just thought it would be a really cool idea. It was sort of my idea from the beginning to have this character that comes on that you just mentioned. I think it was in the second episode, there was a big reward for a car.
There was a line that one of the ladies said, ‘Word on the street is that Billie is circling the case.’ And then Coulter kind of eye rolls. If you’re really paying attention, you go, ‘Oh, he’s got a rival, this guy Billie.’ My idea was to tease that and intentionally name the character Billie, and then reveal that Billie is, of course, Sofia. We didn’t get to tease that as much as I would have liked, just because we were so pressed with time. But that was the intention.”
This isn’t the first time that Hartley, aged 47, and Pernas, aged 34, have worked on a set together. The couple met as friends on the daytime drama, Young and the Restless, in 2015, and reconnected for a romance years later. The two got married in 2021 and have since worked together on Quantum Leap.
