In tonight’s the Plath family was back with the drama tonight. Ethan and Olivia were going through a divorce. In an ironic twist, so was Ethan’s parents. There was divorce everywhere. Everyone wanted to move on. They wanted to start over. There was always that one partner though that wanted to keep the marriage.
It was Barry in his divorce with Kim. It was Ethan in his divorce with Olivia. They were so unhappy that Micah didn’t want to bring up his own love life. He moved to South Floria after living in LA for the last few years. He met someone. They fell in love. They now live together and have two dogs.
His girlfriend wasn’t ready to be on camera. She was filmed from the side. Or from the back. Her face was never shown and Micah wasn’t going to push her into anything.
He understood why she didn’t want to be on camera. He also didn’t tell his family about her or how serious they were because he was afraid of judgement. He knew his parents might not approve of them living together before marriage. This was Micah by the way. The same guy that claimed he was manipulated by Olivia into believing his religious background wasn’t perfect.
Well, he’s out on his own now. Olivia was no longer a part of the family. There was no one pushing him into anything and he still chose a lifestyle he knew his parents wouldn’t agree with.
Let’s see if he’ll remember that down the road. Or if he’ll find a new scapegoat. Micah was living domestic bliss and his brother Ethan was grieving. It was never easy to end a marriage. He was really depressed at first. It’s now turned to anger. He was working two jobs to support himself. He was turning to music to vent. He wasn’t ready to see Olivia again and he had to do it anyway.
Olivia returned to Minnesota to get the rest of her things. She also carried divorce papers with her. She didn’t tell Ethan beforehand that she was coming because she knew he was still angry with her.
She surprised Ethan because she wants him to sign the papers without a fuss and for them to finally put the marriage behind them. Olivia wanted to start over. It was a bit of relief when Ethan came to that same conclusion. He didn’t want to have kids with her. She couldn’t have kids with him. They both wanted a family. They just decided it wasn’t going to be with each other.
Ethan was upset to see Olivia again. He could barely look at her. When he did look at her, it was with anger in his eyes. Ethan brought up how she cost him eighteen months with his family.
He couldn’t speak to them because of her. She made him choose between her and his family. He chose her. He lost out on quality time with his family. It doesn’t matter that he now has his family back. He was still angry at Olivia for taking up so much of his life. He wasn’t ready to sign divorce papers. And Olivia eventually decided to give him space before she comes back.
Meanwhile, Kim was enjoying her life. She met someone. His name is Ken. They were dating. Ken wanted her to move in with him and she turned him down. She didn’t want another home to be dependent on a man. She wanted her own place. She went and bought a houseboat. It was a little cramped on the boat.
Especially when the kids come to visit. Kim on the other hand loved it. She loved the freedom of going out on the water. She grew up on a sailboat and she wanted to pass that on to her kids. Her boat was kinda small.
They have about two futons. They’re turned to sitting option during the house. They get pulled out at night to become a bed. There was also another bed at the hull that could fit two people together.
There was a bathroom on the boat. They just don’t use it. They prefer using the bathrooms at the marina. They could even shower at the bathrooms. They use the bathroom on the boat to hold makeup. The kids have slowly become adjusted to the divorce. They aren’t angry at anyone. They want both mom and dad to be happy.
Barry was happy. He was go glad that Moriah moved back to Cairo. She now goes on runs with him. They used running as a means to clear their heads. They also talk. Moriah needed some space to find herself.
She was living in the master bedroom at Barry’s house. She needed a large space for her dog, Blackjack. She also discussed some past trauma in Florida. Back when she was living there. She didn’t go into details. She merely said that it almost broke her heart. And that could be anything with a Plath because last season had a lot of sadness to it.
Moriah distanced herself from Olivia. She turned on her. She lied about her. She never once apologized to Olivia about that. She only apologized to Ethan about that. She also had a secret dating history that her parents don’t know about.
Will Moriah find her own way? Like Micah did. Micah gave up modeling to fix fences at his new house. He settled down with a woman he loves. They were working on the property. His girlfriend mostly designed their house. Micah’s friend from LA came for a visit. He was shocked by the house and how tame Micah was now.
Micah had responsibilities. He couldn’t be the life of the party anymore. He basically switched places with Ethan. Ethan wants to get back out there. He wants to party. He wants to relax and have fun again. Only he would give that up in a second if it meant he’d get Olivia back.
THE END!
