Beyond the Gates (BTG) spoilers indicate that the first episode of the new soap offered a ton of drama, steamy scenes, some intrigue, as well as some question marks, so it’s time to dive right into what fans should expect from the Tuesday, February 25 show.
BTG’s debut on Monday, February 24 provided a nice introduction to The Dupree family, as Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) and her eldest “perfect” daughter, Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson (Daphnée Duplaix) met for breakfast at the country club.
Viewers also got the 4-1-1 on Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley), Anita’s youngest, ‘wild child’ daughter, who’s dealing with a lot right now.
It turns out that Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett), Dani’s husband of 35 years, cheated on her with Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings). Hayley was welcomed into the fold by the Hamilton women, Dani, and her daughters, Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) and Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla).
Hayley was an orphan who became BFFs with Naomi over the years, and the Hamiltons opened their door to the young woman.
She was even given a job at Bill’s law firm, which is where she swooped up and snatched Dani’s hubby right from under her nose!
Not only did the two have an affair, and break up Bill’s marriage, but they are also slated to get married very soon.
With that being said Bill doesn’t seem like a catch. Anita mentioned during Monday’s show that she never liked the guy, who seems like a manipulative slimeball.
After all, it was mentioned that Bill had cheated on Dani multiple times during their marriage; however, Hayley was just the first woman he left her for.
In addition, audience members also met Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob), who was starting her first day as a nurse at the hospital.
Her sweet boyfriend, Derek Baldwin (Ben Gavin), made her breakfast in the morning to celebrate, but it was interesting to see some flirting going on once Ashley was at the hospital and ran into freelance photographer, Andre Hamilton (Sean Freeman).
There were also some steamy scenes from Naomi and her hubby, Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges).
Naomi was running late to meet her grandmother Anita and mom Nicole at the country club, thanks to Jacob and their bed calling.
Across town, Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) met up with Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon), at a coffee shop, although they eventually made their way to the country club to catch up with the Dupree woman.
Vernon is the patriarch of the family, a retired senator who created an incredible impact during his time in office, while Martin is his grandson and a congressman, looking to carry on his family’s legacy.
Interestingly enough, it sounds like fans will meet more characters during the Tuesday, February 25 episode, including Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning).
Smitty is Martin’s husband, who’s a stay-at-home parent to their two adopted children, Tyrell Richardson (Jaden Lucas Miller) and Samantha Richardson (Najah Jackson).
For the most part, Smitty and Martin are “relationship goals”; however, Smitty will be going back and forth on the idea of possibly returning to his writing career now that the couple’s kids are a bit older.
BTG spoilers imply that Martin won’t like the idea of that, as he enjoys their home life the way it is. Sounds like there may be trouble on the horizon for these two.
Fans should expect to meet more characters during Tuesday’s episode, while also taking a deeper dive into storylines that were introduced during Monday’s show.
There was certainly tension between Dani and her sister Nicole. There’s a lot of love there, but there’s also some animosity on Dani’s part, as she watches her sister live out the “perfect” life, as her world continues to crumble.
Speaking of, will there be some fallout in the Bill/Dani/Hayley arc? As Monday’s show wrapped up, fans saw Dani learn that her ex-hubby and his new child bride bought a house within the Fairmont Crest community, right where she lives (of all places).
Of course, Dani took the opportunity to tell Hayley off, as the young woman walked into the country club at that same opportune moment she found out the news.
Dani lashed out at Hayley, and slapped her across the face!
The Real Housewives of Potomac star Karen Huger was sitting nearby, and shortly after the slap, she tells Hayley, “Welcome to Fairmont Crest.”
Hayley is supposed to meet with Bill after she leaves the country club, so there may be some scenes on Tuesday’s show as she rants about how embarrassing it was to get a taste of Dani’s palm across her face in front of “everyone”.
Beyond the Gates spoilers hint the rest of the week should be as entertaining as the first show, and it sounds like Tuesday’s episode will offer some soapy, sizzling, and spicey action, as well as more insight into storylines and character history.
