In tonight’s FBI: Most Wanted episode, things got personal for Special Agent Remy Scott tonight. His ex-girlfriend called him out of the blue. They haven’t spoken in years and now she was reaching out to him for help. April Brooks was sexually assaulted. She was a sitting judge.

She’s been traveling a lot. She visits various college campuses talking about her work in the law field. She was hoping to inspire others to become lawyers when this happened. There was no telling who assaulted her or why. April has a lot of enemies on top of just plain sickos there.

April reached out to Remy because she needed support during this trying time. Only she didn’t want to do the rape kit at first. She thought a judge couldn’t be a victim. It wasn’t until she talked to Remy that she changed her mind. He helped her see that they needed to make a case against her attacker.

The case would be much stronger with DNA evidence. It would also document her many injuries in case her attacker was found and tried to claim it was consensual. The crime itself happened in Maine. The local cops weren’t treating April with care or concern.

There was apparently a similar assault three months before April was attacked. The victim in the previous case was Leighton Bell. She described her attack. She told the cops that she was drugged with ketamine.

She told them that she was taken to a van where she was assaulted. Either there were two rapists with the same MO or it’s the same guy. The guy that the cops failed to find three moths ago. They didn’t even test Leighton’s rape kit. They have no idea if the DNA matched. And so Remy took over.

Remy identify the attacker as a serial rapists. He stepped in as an FBI Agent. He said they were taking over the case and the local cops didn’t like that. They failed at the job. They were looking for someone to blame.

If it wasn’t too much workload, it was the victims for not doing the job for them. The women did what they were supposed to do. They went straight to the hospital. They did a rape kit. The detectives never followed up on the kit. They also ignored the many calls from the first victim asking for an update.

The attacker threatened the women. He told them he’d kill them if they told anyone. Leighton decided the best revenge would be taking back her power.

She started a blog where she told everyone what happened to her. She also said she saw her attacker before she was assaulted. She could have sworn she saw him a coffee shop. It seems he stalks his victims before he moves in. He has a hunting ground. It was the Stone Creek Bird Sanctuary. The rapist found his victims there and then he follows there. It was the same with all the victims.

Plus, Remy was right about him being a serial rapist. They found a third victim. Her story matched with both Leighton’s and April’s. The three rape kits were all tested and they all matched.

There was a serial rapist. There’s no telling how long he’s been doing this, but the feds were tracking his movements and they found his latest victim hidden in his van. The van was parked at the sanctuary. It was a protected place and was usually quiet for the most part. The feds found the van only their perp escaped on foot. He knew the area too well.

The DNA also matched the rape kits in New Hampshire and Connecticut. Their rapist was willing to cross state lines to carry out his crimes. His first victim in Maine was Maya. Nine months after her, he attacked Leighton. Three moths later he turned his attention onto April. The victim that the feds saved was taken two days after April.

His window was closing. He was getting too comfortable and his mistakes helped the feds. They connected his DNA to a man who donated his bone marrow. There was an official medical record. They got their rapist’s name. It was Patrick Henderson.

They got a photo of him. They sent it to April. She identified him as her attacker. April didn’t want to leave the state until her attacker was caught and so Remy allowed her to stick around. She mostly stayed at the hotel. She also had police escort. She was safe for the time being. It was other women that were in danger.

Someone shared the photo of Henderson with Leighton. Leighton then put it on her blog. Henderson has a girlfriend and she saw Leighton’s post identifying her rapist. It made all the dots connect in Hailey’s mind.

She realized that her boyfriend was a bad guy. She broke up with Henderson. He didn’t take it well. He broke her phone and then he left her to go hunt one of his old victims.

It was a miracle he didn’t kill Hailey, but Leighton’s post going viral helped Henderson to identify who talked. Leighton admitted that April was helping the cops catch this guy. Henderson wanted to shut her up and so he headed for her. The feds caught up to him. They were able to arrest him. He was claiming innocence of course and Remy told him to shut up for his own good.

Everyone was happy when they captured Henderson. They all returned home to New York after they closed the case. This one hit a familiar note with the women agents, Remy also realized he didn’t want to make the same mistakes as he did with April.

He surprised his girlfriend Abby with a trip to Rome. It was very romantic. It also showed that Remy wasn’t prioritizing work over their relationship.

THE END!
