In tonight’s FBI:Most Wanted episode, someone bombed a mail truck with the driver still inside. She caught fire. There was a good Samaritan that heard her screams and tried to douse her. He saw a black man dropping a package off inside of the truck.
He didn’t think nothing of it at first. There were plenty of people that go up to the truck because they were too lazy to go to the post office. It wasn’t until the bomb off that the witness realized this black man stayed there long enough to see the explosion. He wanted to make sure that he killed the woman inside.
Her name was Vicky Collins. She was actually on the phone with her father when the bomb went off. Her father is Caleb Collins and he was a firefighter from Philadelphia. He heard his daughter’s confusion.
She returned to the truck to find her seat wet. She told her dad it smelled of gasoline. She didn’t sense the danger and the next thing her father heard were her screams. She died at the scene. Her father couldn’t accept it at first. He had to drive out to where she was. He had to see the truck for himself and only then did he accept that his daughter had been killed.
Caleb tried to be helpful after that. He told the feds that Vicky had just gotten out of a relationship. Her ex-boyfriend was a black man. Caleb gave them his name and how to find him. Only the ex wasn’t behind this.
There was a second bombing on the same day. The second package didn’t detonate like it was supposed to. It left the ATF Agents enough to investigate. They were able to determine that it was the same arsonist that killed Vicky and now he’s taken a second life. He killed Finn Rayson.
Finn died from smoke inhalation. He was bed bound. He’s been really sick and his care worker hadn’t started her shift yet. Finn never had a chance. Finn was also from Philadelphia. He was a cop there.
He was connected to Vicky’s father. It was about a five year window where they worked the same area. Thankfully, the arsonist got sloppy with his third victim. The victim noticed he was being followed.
He went home and he grabbed his gun. He was able to chase off his stalker. He also got the make, model, and license plate of the vehicle.
It matches to the car they were looking for. It turns out the third man was also connected to Philadelphia. His grandfather was Mayor of Philadelphia and the family left the state after his time was served.
There was a scandal back. It was called the MOVE Bombing of 1985. The MOVE was a group striving for black liberation. They wanted to live away from technology and other stuff people felt were keeping black Americans down. They were a peaceful group. Or at least they were until the Philadelphia police bombed their homes.
There was a backup generator in one of them. This on top of a bomb took out a whole neighborhood. A neighborhood of black and brown. It was rare that the American government would bomb their own people. Some may have regretted it only they’ll never admit wrongdoing.
They just say that things got out of hand. Finn was the pilot that dropped the bomb. Caleb was the firefighter that didn’t save the neighborhood. The Mayor was the one that signed off on everything. And this bomber wasn’t just targeting men and the families of these men he felt were responsible.
The bomber was in Ayo Parsons’s neighborhood. She was married to the leader of MOVE. She was one of the few survivors. The bombing killed several adults and five children. Ayo tried to keep the movement alive after her husband’s death, but she went to jail and now she just wants to be around her family.
The feds were heading to her place to ask if there’s been talk of MOVE when they saw a black man matching the description. They tried to approach him. He ran off and he was quicker than they were.
The man got away. He left in the same car as before. It also didn’t seem like he was a MOVE follower. There were others keeping the movement alive and this guy wasn’t one of them. The cops suspected he was in Ayo’s neighborhood to kill her. The bombing in 1985 forced many of them out of their homes.
One of them Gerald Colworth. He worked in construction. He got divorced. He started showing up late to work and got fired. He couldn’t keep up with the mortgage payments and lost his home. And now his ex-wife wants to take the kids to Arizona.
Gerry lost or was about to lose everything. He believed his bad luck was connected to that bombing. His mother had been pregnant when it happened and she miscarried not long after losing their home.
Gerry wanted to hurt these people that took his sibling away although he didn’t go after the ones responsible. He went after their children. Finn died because he was bed bound. His son was supposed to have been there that day and he stepped out for errands. Greg always intended on killing the children of these people.
He was also working up the chain of command. He went from firefighter to police to mayor to police commissioner. Gerry was last seen heading towards the Bronx and that’s where the commissioner’s granddaughter lived. She was running an illegal daycare. There were six kids in the house when Gerry bombed it.
He never cared about other people getting hurt. He just wants everyone to suffer because he suffered. Gerry stayed at the scene of the house bomb. He got a sniper’s rifle. He was picking off first responders and he thankfully couldn’t flee this time.
They cornered Gerry. They talked him into putting down his weapon. He was arrested and he was facing several life sentences. The one silver lining was that his kids could visit him when they get older.
Nina also heard from her dad. Her brother-in-law has been pretending to work. He instead was at the bar all day and Nina’s sister tried to confront him about it. And his response was to beat her up until she had to be moved to a hospital
THE END!
