In tonight’s FBI episode, the FBI has been tracking a human trafficking ring. They found the broker. They arrested him. They forced him to work for them and they put together a sting operation. They were hoping to find the men behind the trafficking as well as the women they’ve been using as commodity.
Only the operation didn’t go the way they planned. The two brothers involved met with the broker in the park. They noticed he kept looking over his shoulder. They confronted him and they ultimately killed him once he broke cover.
The brothers were Efren and Adan Ocampos. They traffic teenage girls. The broker used to love buying from them until he got caught. Martin Petrelli didn’t want to go to jail. He agreed to assist with their case, but he was acting too oddly. The brother figured out something was wrong. They confronted him.
Petrelli tried to tell them he was forced to do this by the feds and it didn’t earn him the sympathy he was looking for. It actually helped him catch a bullet. The feds moved in after he was shot and they were too late to catch Adan or rescue the teenage girl with him.
Adan took the girl onto the train. Maggie missed it, but she did promise the girl that she’d find her. She told her name and that turned out to be helpful because the girl later called the FBI looking for her. She said her name is Analis. She ran away from Adan. She was worried he was looking for her and she needed help.
Maggie needed to find this girl. She wanted to keep her promise. The feds captured Efren and he was refusing to talk. He claimed the girl was his brother’s girlfriend. He alleged that they met up in the park with a friend that owned them money and things got out of hand.
Petrelli died from his injuries. Efren wasn’t talking. Finding Analis was their last chance at making the case against the brothers. The brothers were originally from Philippines. They got kicked out of the police force for corruption. They then moved to the States and started trafficking girls.
They tell these girls that they could work and be models or nannies in the States. They used that to lure them in. The girls arrive and suddenly they have pay off the “debt” they incurred from their trip. They get forced into prostitution to pay off this debt. And there’s no escape.
They’re trafficked until they’re no longer of use. When they’re no longer of use, that’s when the men kill them. Its easier for them to kill the troublesome ones and that way they kept the young girls scared of acting out. Analis running away from her captor was another crime in Adan’s eyes. She grabbed his phone. She called the emergency number because the phone was locked. She was on the phone with Maggie when Adan caught up to her and killed her. The last thing he told her was that her sister was going to be next.
Maggie heard the shots. She realized she failed to find Analis in time. The only way to make up for her failure was to find Analis’s sister, Sofia. They came from the Philippines. They thought they signed up for an au pair program. Before she died, Analis had told Maggie that it was her idea to apply for the program. Sofia just went along with it because Analis didn’t want to be alone. Analis had a promise of her own. She promised Sofia that she was going them out of this. Analis’s promise became Maggie’s mission.
Maggie looked for Sofia. The feds used the information that Analis gave them. They tracked down the cars that the traffickers were using. They found where the women were being held and they rescued a bunch of them. They just couldn’t save Sofia. Adan killed her before the feds showed up. Maggie was used to tough cases. This one was different. She needed to find Adan. It was the only way she was going to heal and she knew that. Maggie left it to the others to question the women they found.
The feds were able to find where the women that were being held in Miami, Boston, and Baltimore. The trafficking ring was widespread. The feds saved a lot of women. It just didn’t give Maggie the closure she was seeking. Maggie questioned Efren again. She used the fact that everyone was scared of his brother and not him. Efren didn’t like everyone thinking he was a joke. He told her where she could find his brother. The feds went to the house. They found Adan and he tried to shoot his way of the situation.
Both Maggie and Scola were forced to kill Adan. Maggie was upset at first because she thought she failed Analis.
They weren’t going to find her body or give her a proper funeral. It wasn’t until Maggie received another call that she felt hope again. Analis wasn’t dead. She was shot only she survived the injury. She woke up to find herself in the trunk of a car. She still had Adan’s phone on her. She didn’t know where she was. She stayed on the phone with Maggie and Maggie found her. Analis was left in a car that was about to be demolished.
Analis was already turning blue when Maggie found her. The dispatcher on the phone used to be an EMT. He talked Maggie through a small procedure that saved Analis’s life. His name is Josh. He was so concerned about Analis that he showed up at the hospital. He and Maggie got to talking and who knows? It might lead somewhere.
Sergeant Tim Bradford goes to a veteran support group. It helped him after he came back stateside. It also helped him through his recent breakup with Lucy and so they knew everything. They even knew about his recent hookup with Lucy. Tim thought what happened was a mistake.
He was beating himself up and the group reminded him that Lucy was an adult. If sleeping together was indeed a mistake, it was one they made together. Tim needed to stop blaming himself. He and Lucy have put in great effort to be at ease with each other. It was up to the both of them to overcome this latest backslide.
Anyways, the whole station was talking about Nolan. Not Tim and Lucy. Officer John Nolan was going through marriage troubles and everyone could tell. You know it’s bad when Smitty picks up on it. Smitty!
He was the dumbest cop around and he offered Nolan his divorce attorney’s card. He’s been divorced three times this past decade. The lawyer helped him through each one. Smitty gave an uncomfortable hug for Nolan and so that might be the kick that Nolan needed to make things up with Bailey.
Nolan technically wasn’t in the wrong with Bailey. She knew he was a cop when they got together. She knew that and still helped a hitman kill her ex-husband. She committed a crime.
It wasn’t just parking tickets or stuff that Nolan could laugh off. There were two people that were now dead. Nolan didn’t know if he should arrest Bailey or not and its not helping that she wasn’t in the least apologetic. She was fine with what she did. She would do it again if her ex-husband had survived. And that’s why she’s crashing at a friend’s house.
Nolan in the meantime tried to focus on his rookie. Officer Celina Juarez was coming off of probation. She was about to be a true cop and tonight was her last day. Both she and Nolan hoped it would go smoothly.
It ended up being a lot more dangerous than they thought. They found a van matching the description of a car fleeing a robbery. The van had broken down by the side of the road. The driver of said van was very handsome. Celina was too busy checking him out that she failed to notice his partner sneaking up behind her.
THE END!
