Somone ditched a body right in front of a church. The victim was identified as Darius Brogan. Brogan was a divorced father of three. He has a gambling problem. He maxed out nine credit cards and he owes his bookie over ten grand. The FBI assumed he was killed by that same bookie. They tracked down Maikel Kuriev. They found out he was selling fentanyl through his backroom. He was arrested only he wasn’t their killer. The killer wasn’t connected to Darius’s gambling problem. He was grabbed because his killer wanted his ID.
Darius worked for Voyager. It was a train company. By time the feds realized that Darius was killed for his ID card, someone had already used it to get access to a train. It was unfortunately the same train that OA was on. It turns out FBI Special Agent Omar Adom Zidan couldn’t even take a vacation anymore. The agent that was informally known as OA left town with his girlfriend, Gemma. The two have a rocky history. They were constantly fighting over OA’s job. Gemma sometimes just wants a boyfriend. Not a cop. She and OA decided to take a vacation and naturally disaster followed them.
Their train got hijacked. OA didn’t have his weapon. His girlfriend demanded that he leave it at home and that left them trapped on the train with no escape. Or a chance to get off. The men that hijacked the train had refused to let it stop at any of the planned stops. They wanted the authorities to know the train was hijacked. It was estimated that they took over two hundred people hostage. This included some of their own and so the feds took this one personally. They spoke with the men that hijacked the train.
The guy in charge claimed his name was Jamie. He demanded nearly three hundred million in monero. It was an untraceable cryptocurrency. Jamie said that they need the money for their families. They said they were doing a good thing. Only there was an issue on the train. There was this one guy who felt they could overpower the men with guns. He tried to talk OA into helping him. OA told him that the plan wouldn’t work. He said too much could go wrong and the guy ignored him. He tackled one of the guys. OA didn’t want him to get hurt and so he joined the fight.
Gemma tried to press the emergency brake during the confusion. It didn’t work. She got shot accidentally and OA got tied up. OA didn’t know it at the time only one of the passengers was in on it. She’s the one that pulled a gun on OA. She’s the one secretly in charge. Her name is Evelyn. She made sure that OA got tied up for his trouble. OA couldn’t help Gemma. He couldn’t get the hijackers to help Gemma. And so OA revealed his identity.
He revealed he was an FBI Agent. He told the hijackers that he could help them and that he will if they save Gemma. OA talked one of them into offering first aide. Gemma’s life was saved, but Evelyn lied to her crew. The others didn’t want anyone getting hurt. They thought they were getting the money to rebuild their town. The feds found out they were from a small town in Ohio. There was a train derailment. It was owned by a freight company. It was carrying harmful materials and it killed hundreds. It destroyed the town.
They tried filing a class action lawsuit. It just didn’t go anywhere. CTX Logistics got to move on like nothing happened and that was too much for Evelyn. Evelyn’s brother-in-law was killing all the people that work for the train. He also made sure that the train couldn’t be stopped. Jubal contacted the man known as Jamie. He asked what was going on and that’s when Jamie learned that Evelyn was lying to them. She never planned on stopping the train. She planned on turning it into a bomb. When her people confronted her, she killed one and locked herself in the control room.
The feds have eyes in that room. They saw Evelyn. They identified her as Evelyn Adams. She was a schoolteacher when the accident happen and her husband eventually died from cancer caused by the hazardous material. Now, Evelyn wants revenge. She doesn’t carry who dies. She wants to run the train into CTX’s headquarters. The company stored a lot of material at the site. Evelyn could kill thousands if her plan goes through and so OA used that to his advantage. The other hijackers didn’t sign up for suicide mission. They didn’t want to die. OA got them to peacefully surrender because he had a plan.
OA took their guns. He transported everyone into the next car. He made sure Gemma was safe. He then detached the cars so that Gemma was as far away from the potential explosion as possible. It was just OA and Evelyn left. OA confronted Evelyn. He was in communication with his people. They told him about Evelyn’s husband. Her husband believed CTX when they said it was safe. He helped with the cleanup. Then he got cancer. It was brutal on him. He died in pain and CTX wouldn’t even acknowledged the lawsuit.
Evelyn didn’t care about her own life. When OA was trying to talk her down, she got overwhelmed. She shot herself and so it was just OA left. Evelyn killed herself in a room she locked from the inside. OA needed to get into that room. One fed mentioned using a electrical charge to force the door to open. It worked. OA got into the room. He pulled the emergency brake. The train stopped before they could reach CTX and a crisis was diverted.
OA later reunited with Gemma. She was moved to the hospital. It looks like she’ll recover with no lasting issues and that didn’t stop OA from blaming himself. He felt like he should have protected Gemma more.
