General Hospital Friday, April 4 Recap: Ric’s Memory of Kristina at Crash Site – Ava’s Investigation Proves Brakes Cut

General Hospital (GH) recap for Friday, April 4, reveals that Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) had a memory of Kristian Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) at the crash site while Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) investigation proved that the brakes were cut.

At Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) apartment, she was skeptical as Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) told her about the cutting-edge procedure that could help him play football again – especially since Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was willing to pay for it.

Meanwhile, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) turned to Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) for help as a Nurses Ball liaison. Jordan got a list of names and was tasked with convincing them to perform.

At Aurora, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) acted like Drew was filling Kai’s head with false hope and pressuring him into something risky, but Drew defended his actions. Drew thought Curtis was letting his grudge stand in the way of Kai’s future instead.

While Drew and Curtis were bickering, Jordan interrupted with her request for Nurses Ball performers. Drew agreed to participate, so Curtis said he was in as well.

At the WSB training facility, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) recapped the details of the suspicious drop-off she witnessed, but Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) acted like she was just making things up to impress Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna).

Vaughn played innocent, but Josslyn stood by her story and put her WSB future on the line in the process. Once Josslyn was proven right about the package in Vaughn’s pocket, Brennan revealed that it was all a test.

Josslyn proved her loyalty, so she completed this level of training and was ready to get out in the field. Although Josslyn’s training would be ongoing, Brennan needed her to work on a specific mission for him right away.

Brennan eventually informed Vaughn that he’d be going with Josslyn as her backup.

In Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) kitchen, she told Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) that she didn’t want to choose between him and Brennan. Carly needed to make her own choices and pushed Jason to trust her judgment on Brennan not being a threat.

Jason remained wary since he couldn’t control what happened in Brennan’s world. After losing Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), it shook Jason up and made him determined not to lose Carly, too.

However, Jason ultimately agreed to stay out of Carly’s relationship with Brennan. Carly would be happy with Brennan if she was right – and if she was wrong, Jason felt they could tackle the danger together.

Once Jason made a prediction that Carly would never lose him, Josslyn popped up in the kitchen and announced her homecoming.

Back at Trina’s place, she was kissing Kai when Lucy showed up to convince them both to become Nurses Ball performers.

At GH, Ava convinced Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) to let her see Ric, who was still unconscious following his surgery.

Ava pleaded with Ric to wake up, so he finally did and asked about Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) condition. After Ava assured Ric that Liz was fine, he recalled losing control of the vehicle after the brakes failed.

In the chapel, Kristina acknowledged that she did a bad thing as she prayed for Ric to pull through.

Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) caught the end of Kristina’s prayer as she arrived with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), but she was touched since she didn’t hear anything about Kristina’s guilt.

Kristina was glad to hear that Ric made it through his surgery without any lasting damage. Alexis was also pleased to see Molly and Kristina coming together as they shared a hug.

When the Davis girls ran into Ava on her way out, she revealed that Ric was awake. Molly raced to Ric’s side, so he offered reassurance about her never losing him.

Next, Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) spent some time with a pouty Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), who was eager to go home and frustrated over losing her independence.

Nevertheless, Lucky pushed Liz to accept help and was thankful that she didn’t suffer worse than a broken leg. Elizabeth eventually got updates on Ric waking up, so she was relieved and urged Lucky not to blame him for the wreck.

Later, Lucky met with Kristina in the chapel and admitted no one else knew about her guilt – at least not yet. Kristina was put on the spot as Lucky sought the details of how she almost killed Elizabeth.

Back with Ava, she headed to the car repair shop where Ric’s totaled vehicle was. Ava pretended it was her car and got the mechanic to check for anything faulty, so he came back with the news that the brakes had been cut.

As for Ric, a memory came back to him from when he was behind the wheel following the crash. Ric looked puzzled as he recalled Kristina standing there in the distance.
