General Hospital Friday, January 3 Recap: Jason Can’t Take Over Sonny’s Mob Business, Dante Throws Sam’s Demise in Lulu’s Face

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, January 3, reveals that Lulu Spencer (Alexis Havins Bruening) put Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) on full blast in her hotel room for blowing her only chance to bring Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) home.

Dante basically acted like Lulu was delusional for thinking Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was actually going to let Charlotte go.

As for the sniper, Dante insisted Lulu had to have been the one who led them straight to Valentin.

After Dante reminded Lulu of the way Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) had waited four years for her to wake up, he complained about her putting her life at risk now.

Dante wound up throwing Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) demise in Lulu’s face since Sam died saving her.

Lulu didn’t think that was fair, but Dante remained agitated and pointed out that Lulu’s actions were putting Charlotte at risk.

Once Dante stormed out, Lulu yelled and broke a vase in frustration.

Meanwhile, Valentin had an emotional conversation with Charlotte in a car somewhere.

Charlotte wondered if Valentin thought Lulu sent the sniper, but Valentin knew she didn’t since losing Valentin would hurt Charlotte – and her mother wouldn’t do that.

Valentin was in danger and had to keep running, but he acknowledged it was unfair to make Charlotte live as a fugitive.

That’s why Valentin offered to take Charlotte to an airport so she could return to Port Charles if she wanted.

Charlotte realized she could either go be with Lulu and never see Valentin or stay with Valentin and never see Lulu.

In the end, Charlotte couldn’t abandon Valentin, so she picked him before they drove off together.

Next, Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) continued her conversation with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), who pushed her to stay in Port Charles and let him set her up with a new place to live.

Sasha refused to accept Michael’s financial support and wanted to provide for this baby independently, but she agreed to stick around PC in the end.

In Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) office, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) ranted about Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) inviting Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) to Washington and attend the event where he was sworn in.

Nina wished she could open Willow’s eyes and hinted about her not knowing the whole story.

Curtis suggested Nina could give Willow all the facts and got her to admit she’d been sleeping with Drew, but Nina couldn’t tell Willow that.

When Michael popped up, Nina had to cover what she’d been talking about and mentioned Willow’s trip with Wiley to see Drew sworn in.

Michael didn’t have much of a reaction to Nina’s updates and talked business with Curtis briefly before leaving.

Once Michael took off, Curtis pushed Nina to make a full confession to Willow before she let the situation get any worse.

Back with Michael, he looked up a news article and saw a pic of Willow standing next to Drew after he was sworn in.

Since Willow took Wiley to Washington without Michael’s permission, he called Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) to ask if they could use that.

At GH, Sasha showed up to make an appointment with Dr. Frida Navarro (Christina Ferraro) and inadvertently got roped into a conversation with a patient advocate.

That patient advocate was Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner), so Sasha admitted she was pregnant and quickly clarified that Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) wasn’t the father.

Sasha insisted the bio dad wasn’t in the picture, so Felicia didn’t press her for too much information.

When it came time to put down an emergency contact, Sasha wondered if Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) would be on board.

Felicia felt confident Maxie would, but she didn’t want to speak on her behalf. For now, Felicia suggested putting her name down instead, so Sasha seemed touched.

At Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) penthouse, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) arrived just before Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) left.

Jason was obviously curious about the doctor’s visit, but he assumed Sonny would tell him what was up if he wanted him to know.

Sonny confessed he had a heart problem and spilled his recent collapse, so Jason pushed him to see a cardiologist.

Although Sonny confirmed he’d do that later, he wanted to discuss the business and the changes that would have to be made.

Jason assured Sonny that he could step up on a short-term basis, but Sonny was thinking long-term instead and wanted to hand the business over to Jason.

After Jason explained he couldn’t take over long-term because of Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn), Sonny accepted his answer.

However, there was no one else Sonny trusted to take his place. Although Sonny felt they had some time to mull all this over, he made a prediction about needing an exit strategy.
