General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, March 21, reveals that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) snooped in Drew Quartermaine’s (Cameron Mathison) safe while Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) declared Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) relationship over.
At GH, Drew offered another reminder of the power he had over Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) ahead of the press conference, but he ultimately suggested she should consider him a friend.
Once Portia was alone, she found Drew’s medical file and seemed to be mulling over a new plan.
Although Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) was nervous about the press conference, Trina Robinson (Brook Kerr) gave him a pep talk.
However, Trina later worried to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) about Kai being too trusting of Drew.
Nearby, Drew gave Kai the rundown of how the press conference would go before Councilman Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) popped up.
Ezra met Kai before speaking privately with Drew about the esplanade and his disapproval of Laura Collins (Genie Francis) basically siding with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Back with Kai, he got a warning from Curtis about Drew making empty promises.
Kai questioned whether he should go through with the press conference, but Curtis just wanted him to stay on guard.
The press conference ultimately went well, so Kai earned praise and seemed like he was starting to consider a career in politics.
Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) also had a run-in with Ezra, which led to her complaining to Curtis about him being slimy and going after Laura.
In Carly’s hospital room, she had a nightmare about all the poison drama before waking up to find Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) was there.
Lucas ranted about Brennan putting Carly in danger, but Carly defended him and blamed what happened on Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).
Next, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) stopped Nina’s attempt to show her real estate listings since she’d decided she didn’t want the new house Nina was offering.
Willow stood her ground on moving in Drew’s place with the kids, but Nina remained worried about the consequences.
Nina feared Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) could be pushed too far and that Willow would lose her children, but Willow felt confident about avoiding a custody feud.
Later, Nina used the spare key Willow gave her to slip back in Drew’s house, where she broke in his safe and started digging through it.
In Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) office, she spoke to Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) about Valentin wanting her to serve as his attorney.
Ava Jerome (Maura West) eventually showed up desperate for a loan from the Cassadine estate, but Kristina warned Alexis wouldn’t give a dime to the woman who killed her grandchild.
Alexis couldn’t help Ava, who ultimately pointed out that Kristina was acting irrational and pushed her mother to see that.
At Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) place, she wound up massaging Lucky Spencer’s (Jonathan Jackson) neck since he fell asleep on her uncomfortable couch.
Liz also hinted that Lucky should sleep up in the bedroom next time, so they shared a close moment over feeling something real for each other.
Afterward, Kristina opened up to Lucky about Sonny’s heart problems and all the drama with Ava.
Lucky basically hinted that Kristina’s daughter wouldn’t want her holding a grudge, but Kristina couldn’t let it go.
Once Liz made it to work, she got updates on Lucas’ encounter with Marco (Adrian Anchondo) in Miami.
Back with Ava, she paid Portia a visit in her office. Portia hinted about Drew only thinking he had the upper hand and kept gazing over at his medical file.
At the PCPD, Jason met with Valentin in the interrogation room, where he offered a future favor in exchange for everything Valentin knew about Brennan.
Valentin pointed out that he’d never seen Brennan be vulnerable until last night.
Brennan previously only cared about the WSB, but he almost killed Valentin because of Carly.
Valentin also suggested that Brennan might still be running the WSB and that his lower position might be a cover.
After all, lowly station chiefs don’t typically order massive drone strikes.
Since Brennan was a man who got what he wanted, Valentin made a prediction about him getting Carly – that is unless Jason decided to take action.
Once Jason came blowing back into Carly’s room, she wasn’t in the mood for another lecture.
Jason snapped that Brennan and Carly were done before declaring that she couldn’t go near him again since her life depended on it.
At the PCPD again, Alexis showed up to see Valentin. Although Valentin knew freedom was off the table, he had something he wanted Alexis to do for him.
General Hospital spoilers say Valentin will fill Alexis in on his request soon, so stay tuned for news on what he’s hoping for.
