General Hospital (GH) recap for Monday, April 7, reveals that Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) wanted Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) in jail, but Ava Jerome (Maura West) stopped his cop call. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) also tested Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) cover-up through all his questions, so here’s how Monday’s show played out.
In Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) office, Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) warned that ADA Turner (Nazneen Contractor) was gunning for her. Turner asked all the WSB’s files on Anna – though she didn’t get much info since it was mostly classified and redacted.
After Anna confronted Turner, the ADA complained about Anna looking the other way when it came to Jason and ran down the list of others as well. Anna argued that she did everything by the book, but Turner insisted on digging into things.
In Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) kitchen, Josslyn demanded answers about the poisoning fiasco and demanded to know if her mom was sleeping with Brennan.
Carly offered updates on what happened, but she was eager to steer the conversation to Josslyn’s Easter Island trip. The fact that Josslyn wasn’t in any of her photos seemed to make Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) suspicious.
Jason had been to Easter Island, so he questioned Josslyn about some locations – seemingly in a subtle effort to test her on her knowledge.
After Brennan arrived, Josslyn lashed out at him over the danger he put Carly in. In a private moment, Brennan praised Josslyn for the performance, but she implied that it wasn’t one since she was genuinely ticked off.
Once Jason and Josslyn were gone, Carly reassured Brennan about their relationship and felt they just had to keep the WSB out of it.
At home, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) let Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) know she wasn’t up for performing at the Nurses Ball this year, but Lucy got Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) on board.
Once Lucy left, Trina had a change of heart and decided she’d perform with Kai after all. When Josslyn popped up later, Trina was thrilled to reunite with her BFF.
After Brennan urged Jason to reach out to Anna, Jason met up with her in the park and heard about the latest ADA Turner drama.
Anna and Jason agreed it was best not to interact in public anymore, so they settled on talking at his place at Bobbie’s if they needed to. Although Jason and Anna’s friendship remained intact, they had to keep things discreet.
While Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) was visiting Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) at GH, Ava popped up asking all sorts of questions about the car crash.
Once Ava was gone, Lucas wondered what that was all about. Liz assumed Ava was just trying to stake her claim to Ric.
When Lucy arrived looking for more Nurses Ball performers, Liz declined since it would take her some time to get out of that cast and fully recover.
Lucas agreed to participate in the Nurses Ball as long as he didn’t have to actually perform. Although Lucy assured Lucas he wouldn’t have to, she crossed her fingers behind her back when she made that promise.
In Ric’s room, he talked about remembering something from the accident that didn’t make sense. Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) thought some memory issues were to be expected and guessed maybe Ric hit some black ice.
After Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) stopped by to see Ric, Ava came for a private chat next. That brought Ava’s news about the cut brakes – and she eventually realized Ric was parked in her spot.
Ava determined that she was the intended target, not Ric. There were too many variables for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to go after her in such a sloppy way, so Ava recalled Kristina’s threats and pointed the finger at her instead.
“That little witch tried to kill me!” Ava exclaimed – and Ric pointed out that Kristina almost DID kill him.
After Ava pulled up the video security footage from her parking garage, she noted that Kristina could be seen looking at the car in her space and reaching for wire cutters.
Once Ric said he remembered Kristina was at the crash site, Ava suggested she was probably checking to see that the deed was done.
Although this would ruin Kristina and Molly’s relationship, Ric felt that Sonny and Alexis needed to see who Kristina really was when the cops dragged her off for attempted murder.
Ric wanted to call the police so they could nail Kristina’s “ass to the wall,” but Ava told “Uncle Ric” not to be so hasty and clearly had other plans.
In the chapel, Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) threatened to turn Kristina if she didn’t do it herself.
Kristina explained how it all went down and how she tried to stop Ava from driving after she regretted her actions. By then, it was too late since Ric had crashed with Liz by mistake.
Lucky suggested Kristina could confess to her mom and get help with a plea deal, but Kristina couldn’t risk Alexis telling Molly. Kristina also made a prediction about possibly ending up in prison – and she didn’t think Alexis could take losing another daughter.
In the end, Lucky decided Kristina and her family had been through too much turmoil already. Since Kristina would have to live with the guilt of almost eliminating two innocent people, Lucky suggested that’d be punishment enough.
After Lucky agreed to keep Kristina’s secret, Kristina texted Molly to come meet her in the chapel. Alexis came along and watched as Kristina apologized for how selfish she’d been in recent months.
Kristina acknowledged that Molly had lost a daughter and a sister as well, so she recognized that and embraced her. Alexis was emotional over seeing Molly and Kristina come together in this warm moment.
Back with Lucky, he stopped by the auto shop claiming that his girlfriend’s wallet was in the crashed car.
The mechanic checked the system and realized the vehicle had already been demolished. It seemed to ease Lucky’s mind once he learned the car had been destroyed.
General Hospital spoilers say Kristina’s problems are only just beginning thanks to Ava’s next plot, so stay tuned! CDL will have other great General Hospital spoilers, updates and news, so visit us often for more GH details.
