In the March 21 episode, Portia spent some time mulling over Drew’s medical records in her office.
The wheels were definitely turning for Portia as she repeatedly looked through that folder, which was marked “patient” and had Drew’s name on it.
Portia has been going along with Drew’s demands and stepped up for him at the press conference, but she wants out of this blackmail nightmare.
Drew has the upper hand, but Portia clearly has something in the works that could take it away.
The March 24 preview video shows Ava Jerome (Maura West) sounding the alarm – potentially after hearing Portia’s grand plan or at least getting some hints about it.
In that clip, Ava warns Portia not to let fear make her do dumb things.
It’s clear that Ava won’t have a good feeling about Portia’s attempt to retaliate against Drew and turn the tables.
This could backfire spectacularly, so Ava will offer a warning and try to stop Portia from carrying out a scheme that could make everything worse.
Nevertheless, Portia seems determined to gain the advantage and put Drew in his place.
GH writers wouldn’t have introduced this medical file angle unless it was going somewhere, but where exactly is it going?
Based on how Portia’s acting, it seems like maybe she’s discovered something that Drew would rather keep under wraps.
There might be some medical issue that could make Drew look mentally incompetent or raise doubts about his abilities as a congressman if it got out.
Then again, it’s possible that Portia might try to alter Drew’s medical file to suit her agenda.
That’d be awfully risky, but Portia has proven that she’s willing to resort to changing things in the system when she’s desperate.
Of course, another option might be if Portia’s discovery leads to the revelation that Drew isn’t who he claims to be.
Considering Drew’s bizarre behavior in recent months, many fans have come to suspect that the real Drew might’ve been replaced with an imposter!
