General Hospital (GH) recap for Thursday, March 20, reveals that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was arrested after Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) saved his life. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) also warned Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) away from Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), so here’s how all the action played out.
After Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) brought Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) back to his place, he let her know Carly was in the hospital and offered reassurance about her being OK.
Meanwhile, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) talked to Laura Collins (Genie Francis) about needing to find her own place so she could live there with the kids.
Laura was certain that Lulu would be able to make up for the time she missed out on.
After Sonny summoned Laura to his house, they discussed Valentin’s earlier break-ins.
Sonny confessed that there was a time when he would’ve shot Valentin in that situation, but he heard Laura’s voice inside his head and let Valentin go.
Laura was family as far as Sonny was concerned, so they were on the same page about liking things better when they were on good terms.
At the PCPD, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) seemed torn over the secret he was keeping from Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).
Later, Chase confronted Lulu at Laura’s place and admitted he knew Dante was the father of Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) baby.
Lulu still felt like Dante deserved the truth about his firstborn child, but Chase demanded her silence and warned her to stop harassing Brook Lynn.
If Lulu didn’t cooperate, Chase warned that he’d have her arrested for breaking in Martin Grey’s (Michael E. Knight) suite and digging into confidential files or whatever else he could take her down for.
In Carly’s room at GH, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) played up the extreme danger Brennan brought to the table and made some grim predictions.
Since Brennan was bad news, Felicia pushed Carly to end things with him before it was too late.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn wondered what other secrets had been kept from her and lashed out at Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer).
Lois defended her decision to bring Gloria Cerullo (Ellen Travolta) in the loop all those years ago, but she was alarmed to learn Brook Lynn told Chase about Daddy Dante.
Brook Lynn wanted her relationship with Chase to be built on trust and was questioning the past now that she knew more.
It left Brook Lynn feeling like she was manipulated into the adoption, but Lois denied doing that.
Since there was so much drama between them, Lois told Brook Lynn they could use some time apart and decided to take a trip to Bensonhurst.
After Dante took Carly’s statement at the hospital, he walked in on Brook Lynn and Lois’ tense moment.
Dante eventually gave Lois a pep talk and acted like families could get through anything together.
On the pier, Brennan told Valentin that he wasn’t behind the sniper in Prague.
Valentin doubted that, but Brennan suggested he had no reason to lie now that he was pointing a gun at him.
Valentin crossed the line by poisoning Carly, so now he had to pay the price according to Brennan.
After Valentin realized Brennan had genuinely fallen for Carly, he mocked him for it.
Elsewhere, Jason tried to stop Anna from going after Valentin to protect him.
Anna shouted for Jason to let her go and eventually wound up on the pier with her own gun drawn.
Just before Brennan could pull the trigger on Valentin, Anna aimed her own weapon at Brennan and talked him out of it.
Brennan reluctantly allowed Valentin to be arrested instead, but he clearly wasn’t happy about it.
At the PCPD, Valentin pushed Anna to admit she saved him because she still loved him.
Anna suggested her feelings didn’t matter since Valentin had committed too many crimes and had to pay for them now.
Back with Jason, he accepted that Valentin had been dealt with for now, but there was still the matter of Brennan and the threat he posed to Carly.
Jason said Brennan was the reason Carly almost died tonight, so he warned Brennan to stay away from her and stomped off.
