General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, April 2, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) visited Wyndemere while Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedeyn Bruner) kept a buried secret. Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) also turned sinister, so here’s how things went down on Wednesday’s show.
At GH, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) spoke with Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) about wanting to end Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) dangerous romance with Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna).
Lucas didn’t think anyone could boss Carly around, but Jason remained concerned over the threat Brennan posed.
In Brennan’s suite, he reassured Carly about still making time for each other – even once things got busy with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) coming home and Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) going on Easter break.
At the Metro Court, Sonny met Laura Collins (Genie Francis) for lunch. Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) interrupted to taunt Laura over being so friendly in public with an alleged crime boss.
Once Ezra was gone, Laura assured Sonny that she wasn’t interested in hiding their friendship.
After Laura mentioned Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst), it became apparent that Sonny hadn’t heard about the crash.
Laura gave Sonny updates on Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) involvement and her fractured leg.
Since Ric’s injuries were more severe and he hadn’t regained consciousness yet, Laura filled Sonny in on that, too.
After Carly and Brennan got off the elevator laughing together, Sonny glared at them as they got a table.
Brennan eventually received a message regarding Soliski (Jeff Wolfe), so he got Sonny to step aside with him.
Sonny played dumb about Soliski’s demise in Toronto, so Brennan wasn’t surprised by that.
However, Brennan also offered up some information since Soliski liked to work with incendiary devices and was linked to Africa along with other locations internationally.
Carly was suspicious when Brennan returned to the table and struggled to buy that they’d really been discussing WSB business.
Since the WSB had never been interested in Sonny before, Carly seemed to think they were talking about her.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) held a Deception meeting to vote about whether to move forward with the Sidwell deal.
Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue) abstained along with Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) while Lucy and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) agreed they should pursue this.
Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) tentatively agreed, but she remained concerned about Sidwell’s kidnapping history and wanted to speak with him before they made things official.
At Wyndemere, Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) warned Sidwell that there were limits to what she’d do for money and warned him not to drag her friends at Deception into anything shady.
Later, Sidwell struck an agreement with the Deception ladies, so they celebrated with a bottle of bubbly.
However, Natalia privately threatened to blow the deal by exposing Sidwell as a smuggler.
Sidwell thought her coworkers would never trust her since she’d withheld his ex-husband status for so long.
At the courthouse, Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) complained about Emma chaining herself to the crypt when she had a previous arrest record.
Although Gio suggested he could’ve done it instead, Emma argued that she couldn’t let him mess with his spot in the music program.
Gio quizzed Emma about what happened in California, but she insisted it was embarrassing and didn’t share any details.
It wasn’t like what Emma just did at the Quartermaine residence since that was for a good cause.
Over with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), she confronted ADA Turner (Nazneen Contractor) about going after Emma.
Anna suspected this was really about ADA Turner’s problem with her instead.
ADA Turner ultimately brought up Emma’s sealed record since the university buried what happened after the animal lab protest.
Whatever Emma got caught up in was serious.
Once court was in session, ADA Turner pushed for Emma to be held without bail.
Tracy saved the day by presenting all the legal paperwork and proving this was all a misunderstanding.
ADA Turner still felt Emma should be punished for chaining herself to the crypt and going against the law, but the judge insisted on settling this now and avoiding a trial.
In the end, Emma changed her plea to guilty and agreed to do some community service hours, so the judge thought that was a fair solution to all this.
Later, Anna grilled Emma alone about her mysterious record, but Emma couldn’t discuss what happened with anyone since she signed an NDA to avoid jail time.
In Diane Miller’s (Carolyn Hennesy) office, she was impressed as Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) interviewed to join the law firm.
Diane pointed out that Marco would need to interview with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) as well, so he was fine with that.
Once Marco asked about the framed photo of Lucas and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) on Alexis’ desk, Diane filled him in on who they were.
After Marco texted Lucas to meet him at the Metro Court, he waited 20 extra minutes and figured Lucas wasn’t coming.
However, Lucas ultimately approached the bar with a grin and wondered if Marco was leaving so soon.
Back with Diane, Jason met with her to discuss amending his will to include Sasha’s baby.
Diane realized Carly didn’t know the paternity truth, so Jason explained that he was holding off on telling her – partly because of her judgment regarding Brennan and partly because she couldn’t stay away from her grandchild.
At Wyndemere again, Sidwell pushed Natalia to keep her mouth shut and totally exploded at her for destroying their family.
Once someone showed up at the door, Sidwell answered it to find Sonny standing there.
Jason also popped up at the Quartermaine mansion and reconnected with Sasha, so he seemed worried as he sought news regarding the baby.
