General Hospital Wednesday, February 5 Recap: Cyrus Frame-Up Plot, Josslyn Snoops for Clues and Carly’s Brennan Warning

General Hospital (GH) recap for Wednesday, February 5, reveals that a Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) frame-up plot got underway while Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) snooped for clues. Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) also received a Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) warning, so here’s how it all played out.

At the Metro Court, Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) confronted Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) for speaking publicly about her pregnancy and baby daddy when it was none of his business.

After Sasha stopped off, Carly took a jab about the congressman’s dirty laundry now being a matter of public record.

Later, Carly spoke with Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) at the hospital. Since Brennan had been a patient there earlier, Lucas mentioned that Jack was quite the chatterbox.

Lucas knew Carly was growing closer to Brennan and had concerns. Carly already went through a secretive relationship with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), so Lucas worried about Brennan’s secrets now and didn’t want her going through that again.

When Cyrus showed up at GH despite Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) ban, Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) threatened to call the cops and eventually got him to leave.

Meanwhile, Josslyn lied about being with the same mission as “Brother Cyrus” and got the super to let her in his apartment for some food drive info. Josslyn claimed Cyrus was supposed to leave her a key, so she was ultimately allowed inside.

That gave Josslyn a chance to snoop around, so she found Cyrus’ Bible and flipped to a passage that had been marked. Josslyn dropped the Bible when the super returned and put it back on the table in a hurry on her way out.

However, Cyrus realized something was amiss when he came home later. After Cyrus opened his Bible, he seemingly sensed that the dried flower inside was out of place.

Back with Drew, he sought Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) help decorating his new house. Maxie was taken aback over how large it was, but Drew smiled and suggested there’d be room to grow.

At the gatehouse, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) told Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) about Carly finding the tie in the sofa and exposing the fact that Drew’s been sleeping with her there.

Brook Lynn wasn’t happy about Willow violating the agreement she made with Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), but a fed-up Willow decided she’d move back in with Nina.

Although Brook Lynn acted like Drew was the problem, Willow didn’t see it that way. Brook Lynn still thought Willow should take a little breather here – and Nina agreed that Willow could use some time alone to figure things out.

Willow still wanted to keep seeing Drew, but she was determined to get out of the gatehouse and pointed out there was nothing Tracy could do legally.

At Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) place, she sent Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) to go pick up Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) so they could break the news about Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) intentional overdose.

While Molly was gone, Alexis and Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) bickered over whether Danny should be told the truth right now. However, Alexis indeed seemed ready to give Danny honest updates when he arrived with Molly later.

In the Quartermaine kitchen, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) filled Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) in on Sam being a fatal target at the hospital.

Sasha eventually showed up looking for Cody and ranted at him for spreading the word about Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) being the father of her child.

As for Tracy, she shared a surprisingly kind moment with Sasha and supported her raising this baby independently. That said, Tracy thought Sasha should have a game plan since things would get complicated when Jason returned from his trip.

At Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) house, Ric Lansing’s (Rick Hearst) arrival broke up her dance with Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson). Ric had good news since Liz could return to work.

Lucky sought Ric’s help looking into the exact terms of Cyrus’ parole agreement. Once Liz backed Lucky up, Ric agreed to do it for free as a personal favor to her.

After Ric left, Elizabeth and Lucky talked about making sure Cyrus landed back behind bars – even if it meant framing him for a parole violation.
