General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Willow Corinthos’ (Katelyn MacMullen) life is enough of a mess right now, so it’s easy to see why Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) doesn’t want to add to the turmoil.
At this point, Nina is no longer sleeping with Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison), so she doesn’t feel the need to share that news and upend Willow’s world even further.
Of course, there’s a selfish motive too since Nina doesn’t want to destroy the progress she’s made with Willow.
Nina and Willow finally have a mother-daughter bond, so it makes sense that Nina is desperate to keep it intact!
Even Katelyn MacMullen understands on some level based on a new interview with SOD. Let’s discuss the GH star’s thoughts on this brewing complication.
MacMullen admitted that if Nina had come clean to Willow early on, it might’ve caused her to pump the brakes with Drew and avoid a lot of her current issues.
However, MacMullen also acknowledged that Willow could never know that for sure!
What’s done is done anyway, so Willow has to be responsible for her own choices – no matter what decisions Nina made for herself.
Since Nina wants to hang onto the bond she’s developed with Willow, Katelyn MacMullen has some sympathy for her side of all this.
“But I also understand Nina’s perspective. I emphasize with her being like, ‘Do I tell her this information that will absolutely destroy her and could destroy our relationship?’ I really do feel for Nina in this situation,” MacMullen insisted.
That said, the fact that Drew and Nina were repeat hookup partners is a juicy secret that has to come out sooner or later.
It’s bound to cause some drama, but MacMullen is hopeful that it won’t ruin Nina and Willow’s relationship completely.
It’s been a long road to get here, so it’d be a shame to undo it all over Nina’s secrecy regarding her passion with Drew – especially since the hookups aren’t even happening anymore.
“Maybe I have a bias of wanting things to work out because Willow and Nina because they’ve always been at odds and I think it would be really cool to see them somehow make their way through this,” MacMullen confessed.
Willow still has some serious curveballs ahead of her, so our predictions point to one of them being Drew and Nina’s scandalous secret.
Once Willow gets updates on that shocker, it’ll throw her into more chaos and force her to re-evaluate things.
