In tonight’s S.W.A.T. episode, SWAT put together a string operation to lure out Duc Trinh. Trinh runs a local gang in Chinatown. He was very dangerous and he has ties all over the state. SWAT apprehending him was a big catch. It also came with an unexpected find. Miko ran into someone he originally met undercover.
He did a stint with Long Beach SWAT. They had him go undercover with an Albanian mob. He met Stefan Morina. The guy worked with his uncle and father. They stole a lot and killed a lot more people. Miko helped put one of the brothers in prison, but the shot caller remained free.
Omar Morina went to ground. He hasn’t been seen by any outsider in years. Stefan running into Miko was purely by accident and it might lead to more arrests because his cover was never broken. Stefan still trusted Miko.
He told him about an upcoming job. He even confessed to taking part in a different job that killed a few people and so Miko pretending to be Zef again could close several cases. It also has the potential to take a very dangerous criminal off the street. Once Miko identified Trinh at the bar, SWAT moved in. They arrested everyone.
Miko spent the night in lockup with Stefan. They continued to talk. Miko claimed he was living in Florida for a while. He heard about the arrests and he wanted to stay away from drama. Or so he claimed. Stefan believed him at least. The two of them were once very close. Miko tried to get Stefan clean. Stefan suffered from drug abuse.
It’s why Miko was pulled off the case all those years ago. He got too involved with Stefan. He kept trying to get Stefan into a drug program and get him away from his family.
Stefan refused to leave. He initially stayed because he hoped that by doing that he’d finally gain praise. Neither his father nor uncle really respect Stefan. They saw him as a kid. They left him with the grunt work. They were only involving him in the business now because they need money. Fast money.
Omar took out a loan from the Russian mafia. They tend to charge interests as well as the original loan and so Omar needed to come up with millions fast. Its why they’ve been hitting some many banks lately. They were trying to pay back the loan.
Omar was bringing more people to help. Some didn’t like that. Omar began killing his own people because they tried to talk him out of hiring more people. Then there was a job that went south.
Miko thought it was too dangerous. He tried to get Stefan to leave the life. He also did something really stupid in a bid to convince Stefan. He told him that he was a cop. He said he brought down Stefan’s father. He was never in Floria and so that angered Stefan. He tried to fight Miko. Miko knocked him out and just when he did that – Omar walked in.
Omar wanted to know what happened. Miko came up with a story on the spot. He said he saw Stefan used drugs and he tried to stop him only Stefan went crazy. Stefon was still unconscious then.
So, Miko was believed. Miko left with Omar for the new job. They left Stefan on the floor. He woke up to being surrounded by cops. Stefan was interrogated. He didn’t want to help at first. He was still feeling betrayed by Miko and Hondo told him what really happened. How Miko got thrown off the case for being too close to Stefan.
Miko lied about a few things, but he was telling the truth when he said he wanted better for Stefan. Just hearing that helped Stefan. He told the cops about the major drug bust. The cops and feds were fighting over who gets to hold over six million dollars. The money being kept offsite for both. Omar wanted to hit the building. Pay off the Russians.
Still have a few million dollars to start over fresh. Stefan told the cops all about it and at the same time Miko started to fight back. Miko broke cover to stop Omar and his men from killing their way into the warehouse.
He got into a shootout with some of the guys until his team showed up. SWAT moved in. They killed everyone with a gun in their hand. They managed to arrest Omar. It was Miko that put his handcuffs on him.
Miko also later spoke with Stefan. Stefan was going to enter the witness protection program. He was finally getting away from his family. Hopefully, he’ll also used the chance to get clean and stay clean.
There was also a situation with SWAT Academy. Some of the recruits got hurt. This included Deacon’s friend, Dobers. Dobers was short for Doberstein. He got so badly injured in the exercise that he can no longer be a cop or train to become SWAT. His career was over. He now needs a cane to help him walk
THE END!
