In tonight’s Sister Wives episode, Robyn was a speed demon. Both she and Kody take the ATVs out. They race all over the property. They had a near miss when Robyn crashed her vehicle, but she was fine. She got back up like nothing happened. She and Kody still love riding together. They also didn’t mind they weren’t invited to Christine’s wedding.

Christine was marrying her boyfriend of less than a year. It was a bit of a rushed affair. She and David told each other they loved each other within a month. They moved in together rather quickly. They started talking about marriage in less than six months. And now they were getting married in their dream wedding.

The only former sister wife invited to the wedding was Janelle. Janelle’s kids were all invited. Back when the kids were young, Janelle was working a lot. She pretty much entrusted her kids to Christine. Christine was a second mom to them. They love her. They chose her over their own father in the divorce.

Kody was barely in contact with most of his children. He missed a lot of key moments with them. Kody chose to prioritize Robyn and her kids and so the rest of the kids felt like there was no point in talking to him.

His ex-wives felt the same way. Kody was a very selfish man. He even contacted Meri weeks after she moved back to Utah for a quilt. Meri used t-shirts they collected over the years to create a quilt on their tenth anniversary.

It was a beautiful quilt filled with memories and Kody wanted it back because he wanted to give it to Robyn. Mind you, he didn’t even know Robyn when Meri put that quilt together. It was their history. It was the story of his marriage to Meri and he still wanted the shirts back because he felt she has too much of their history.

Meri could have given him the quilt. She instead took scissors to it. She cut out all the shirts in the quilt and mailed it back to him. It was as she was doing this that Meri started talking about their life together.

She remembered when Kody told her she made him miserable and that he was going to treat her like crap for the next twenty years in payback. Their marriage was over long before the catfishing or the move to Las Vegas. Kody looks back at the past and he said there were plenty of times he should have divorced Meri.

They had a hard beginning. They had a hard middle. They lastly had a hard ending. Kody made it seem like the marriage never worked on his end and that he was just in it because he didn’t believe in divorce. What Kody failed to mention was that he started pushing away three of his four wives when Robyn joined the family. Christine felt it. Janelle felt it. Meri felt it. It couldn’t all be their fault. He was surviving in a plural family just fine when a fourth wife entered the picture and suddenly he never loved the three others.

Kody said as much. He said he never loved the other wives. He claimed he sucked it up in the name of the kids and now he was finally happy. With Robyn! Robyn tried to get Kody to contact his exes. She pushed him to still have a relationship with them and he turned her down. Kody no longer wants to be in a plural family. Robyn claims she wants that. She told people that she wanted that and the exes were split on whether or not to believe her. They don’t trust her or him. Kody also no longer cares about co-parenting with the exes. He’s fine with writing off his children with them.

Robyn was still talking about him reconciling with the others tonight. She failed to accept Kody as monogamous. Yet, she was fine with getting his old t-shirts back from Meri. Robyn couldn’t have it both ways. She couldn’t demand most of Kody’s time and then complain his marriages with the others weren’t working. She has to pick a side. Kody was telling her she has to pick a side. He was fine with the multiple divorces. He looks back at his family life and he realizes that he didn’t love the others. He claims he’s never seen a successful relationship.

Kody had a brief relationship in college. He lost his virginity to this person. He went against his faith and their take of purity to sleep with someone. The only people he ever told that to was Meri and Robyn. He believed the fact he told Robyn this had made her special. She was someone he could trust. He failed to see that he must have felt vulnerable with Meri as well if he told her too, but that’s Kody for you. He loves rewriting history. He also accuses his exes of doing the same. He was still whining when Christine and the kids had a moment of crisis.

Christine’s toddler granddaughter went missing at the wedding venue. They were right by the water and were worried she ran to it. She was thankfully found with her paternal grandmother. With Avalon returned safely to her mom, the wedding party continued with getting everything ready. And next week will be the wedding.

THE END!
