The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that six female characters will take center stage in a special all-women episode set to air on Thursday, March 27. Let’s discuss the details as we look forward to the drama ahead.
In honor of women’s history month and Heather Tom’s (Katie Logan) 35th anniversary on CBS soaps, she wrote, directed and acted in this show that’ll be all about mothers and daughters.
As for the six female characters we mentioned, look for Katie, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), Hope Logan (Annika Noelle), Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig), Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) to be featured.
B&B Head Writer and Executive Producer Bradley Bell approached Heather Tom about using all her talents in one episode, which was filmed in February.
Tom jumped at the chance to pen the script and ultimately juggled directing scenes while she was also on stage acting.
This episode also had women filling the roles of stage manager, assistant director and editors, so that fit with the women’s history month theme as well.
As for the mother-daughter content of this particular show, Heather Tom was eager to tackle the depth of those relationships – especially after losing her own mother in 2024.
“I wanted to kind of pay homage to her because I certainly wouldn’t be here without her literally and figuratively,” Tom said in an interview with Deadline.
“So I got a little bit of her in there with Katie and Donna, who are sisters who lost their mom.”
Although Tom and Bell mulled over the idea of doing a standalone episode, they ultimately chose to go for something that still worked with the storylines that are playing out.
Tom made a prediction about the material making sense with what’s been happening with the characters.
In other words, this episode won’t feel out of place with the rest of the action during the week of March 24-28.
For the most part, Taylor, Steffy, Brooke, Hope, Katie and Donna will all be discussing things that relate to the current plots on the show.
