In tonight’s The Equalizer episode, a little girl was harmed tonight. Her name was Jessie. She was living with her grandmother. She was up a little past her bedtime because she wanted to finish watching a show and you know grandmothers.

They couldn’t wait to spoil their grandbabies, but Nora will forever regret letting Jessie stay up because that’s when it happened. There was a shootout outside of the apartment. Jessie was shot. She was rushed to the hospital and her grandmother wanted justice. She just wasn’t going to get that justice from the cops.

The cops don’t tend to look too hard for people with guns in that neighborhood. The victims in that area tend to be predominantly people of color. Which doesn’t help with police or even media coverage. The whole place gets written off as dangerous and the people in that neighborhood knew they have to fend for themselves.

Its why Norah Greene reached out to the Equalizer. She wanted someone to get justice for her grandbaby. It took Robyn a day with her team to find their shooter. They got their guy and sadly Jessie didn’t survive long enough to get justice.

The little girl died at the hospital. She was one of the many victims in an increasing gun violence in that neighborhood. Robyn had Harry look into why the sudden increase. He found out that the cartel was selling guns to make a big buy. The head of the cartel was an old enemy of Robyn’s.

She ran into Angel Salazar once before. They almost killed each other. He also left with a cache of stolen weapons from Camp Pendleton. Salazar sold those weapons before stealing more from another source. He’s now sold over five shipments of stolen guns.

Detective Dante was still with the feds. They too were investigating Salazar. Salazar wants to take control of the Iron Pipeline. He wanted to control the movements from drugs from the south all the way to Maine. He wanted dominance. To get it, he has to take out several gangs standing in his way.

He sold the stolen guns to fuel his empire building. He was also looking to go global. He didn’t want to be some low level criminal merely in the States. He wanted to potentially sell drugs as well as weapons around the world. Salazar was that ambitious.

Dante and Robyn met up. They realized they were both looking into Salazar. Dante was working out of his old precinct with the feds. They met at the station to discuss what they found.

Only Dante’s old captain didn’t like that. She hates the vigilante. She always has and she told Robyn she wasn’t welcomed at the precinct. Robyn didn’t mind leaving. She knew Harry could find out more than the local cops. They made a connection with the guns that Salazar was stealing. They tried to stop one shipment when a bomb went off.

Salazar was smart. He sent out several boobytraps. The fact that Robyn and Mel came across one meant they were getting close. The feds helped with the rest. The feds has photos on Salazar. There was a woman that was constantly in the photo. Her name was Celeste Nolan. She and Salazar were lovers until he killed her.

He found out that the Equalizer had spoken to her. Robyn tried to warn her about Salazar. Salazar must have been worried she knew too much and might betray him because he kills her.

He didn’t know that Robyn had already planted a listening device onto Celeste. They heard when Celeste overplayed her hand. They heard her beg for her life. They were too late to protect her.

She also wasn’t a good guy. She knew all about the shipments. The drugs. The guns. She helped turned Salazar’s money legitimate. He ignored of all that when he chose to kill her. That man loves no one. He trusts no one. He’s been slowly climbing into power for years now. The gun shipments that kept disappearing happened because the manager was working under an alias.

The guy was tied to the mob. Cartels are a different fish, but they’ve been known to work with each other for mutual benefits. The guy they man arrested talk. He told Dante where Salazar’s shipment was.

Dante went there along with federal agents, local police, and a two vigilantes. They found the large shipment. They arrested everyone they could. They missed their chance on capturing Salazar. He was in the wind. He killed his girlfriend on tape and so he knew he couldn’t show his face around the city for a while but it won’t stop him from making moves.

Only this case convinced Dante. He wanted to leave ATF. He was a New Yorker. His kids are there. Robyn was there. He wants Robyn to be a part of his life. He told her as much tonight and she was willing to give it another try.

Aunt Vi and Delilah both had dates that night yet it was just Delilah in trouble. She took out her grandfather’s car to impress her new boyfriend and they got rearended. They had to tow the car back home. And Robyn grounded her daughter for what she did.

THE END!
