The Young and the Restless Week of March 17 Update: Grave Danger for Traci – Two Y&R Preemptions

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for the week of March 17-21 reveals that grave danger is brewing for Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) while Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) gets a surprise invite. Two preemptions are also ahead, so let’s talk about what’s in store.

First, Traci will get weirded out by “Alan Laurent” aka Martin Laurent’s (Christopher Cousins) behavior.

“Alan” will try to throw Traci off the trail when it comes to the wild notifications on his phone, but he’ll get testy with her in the process.

“Alan” will eventually suggest taking a trip to Paris so they can nail down a possible place to get married there.

Traci will end up seeking advice from Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), so she may tell them that “Alan” has been stressed.

That could leave Traci with doubts about whether getting engaged was really the best idea.

Diane and Jack don’t have any reason to doubt “Alan’s” love for Traci, so they may think she should cut him some slack and go enjoy herself in Paris.

As for Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), he’ll get a break in the investigation.

The remote-controlled gadget used to trigger the gas leak came from a hardware store near the abandoned clinic, so Chance will have a lead to follow.

Thanks to some security footage from that store, Chance may also have a way to find out “Alan” aka Martin made the purchase.

Since Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) certainly deserves some rest and relaxation after all the abduction mayhem she’s been through, Nick will encourage her to take a little European vacation.

After Nick pushes Sharon to visit Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) with Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) in tow, she’ll want Nick to go as well.

That’ll put Nick on the spot and spark a conversation about where things truly stand with Sharon.

Once Sharon confesses her desire for a romantic reunion, she’ll want to know if that thought has crossed Nick’s mind, too.

While Nick and Sharon address their feelings for each other, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will comfort Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) after her ordeal and grow closer to her in the process.

Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will remain on edge over the crazy kidnapper who still hasn’t been caught, so it seems she’ll lean on Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) once again.

Unfortunately, it looks like Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will witness Summer seemingly making another play for Kyle, so she may have a problem with that.

Claire tried to convince Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) that he shouldn’t make additional waves in her romance, but he’s going to make them anyway.

Kyle will face Victor’s remarks about the reality he’s facing.

If Kyle insists on continuing his current relationship, Victor may contend that he’ll never escape the drama of Summer and Claire feuding.

Although Kyle has made some positive predictions about his future with Claire, Summer’s going to cause more issues.

Kyle may have to make some updates to how he interacts with Summer if he hopes to keep the peace with Claire.

Summer can’t keep stepping out of bounds or it could lead to bad news!

While Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) seeks info regarding Damian Kane’s (Jermaine Rivers) motives, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) may have to give Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) a warning.

Holden will test boundaries with Audra and may get reprimanded as a result.

As Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) desires grow stronger, it seems they’ll cave in and hit the sheets.

That could mark a big turning point and make things more official for these two.

Finally, we should mention that March Madness is coming up, so Y&R will be preempted on Thursday March 20 as well as Friday, March 21.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say it’ll be a short week due to those preemptions, but the show will still pack in some serious action!
