Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) recently informed Amy Choi (Shi Ne Nielson) that the river recovery effort had been called off.
Jada feels certain Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) is deceased, but she’s doubtful that her body will ever be found.
The fact that there’s no body pretty much guarantees that Sophia will turn up alive sooner or later.
Of course, even when there’s an actual corpse involved, miraculous returns are always possible on Days.
Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) has been haunted by dreams and visions of Sophia lately, but the real deal may make a long-awaited comeback soon enough.
Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford) is the latest character to return from the dead – and she won’t be the last!
Sophia’s return should also be on the horizon, especially since the show’s playing up Amy’s refusal to give up hope.
Amy obviously still wants Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) to pay, but some small part of her may never fully accept Sophia’s grim fate.
With that in mind, it may not be long until DOOL reveals that Sophia is alive and perhaps nearby.
After all, Sophia was expecting Kristen to fund her fresh start.
Although Sophia was gushing about heading to Paris shortly before Kristen whacked her, she ended up in the Salem River instead.
Now Sophia may be lurking somewhere on the outskirts of town with no money and no way out of her current predicament.
Sophia must realize that if she reveals the truth about her living status, she’ll either be arrested by the Salem PD or killed by Kristen.
Even so, Sophia could have a reason to venture out while some familiar faces gather.
If Sophia hears about her memorial service, she may not be able to stay away.
Despite Sophia’s unhinged behavior, Days fans know she was hurt over the comments trashing her in the gossip chat.
Deep down, Sophia is just a teenage girl who lost her way and did some cruel things as a result of her mental health issues.
Sophia may like the idea of hiding somewhere close and listening to people say nice things about her now that she’s gone.
Although crashing the memorial service would certainly be entertaining, it’s too early to bring this Days story to a screeching halt like that.
Instead, maybe Sophia will simply spy on the service and still get a chance to see for herself what her memorial is like.
