The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson) recently shared some fun news on social media.
Egan decided to get a bit of a makeover, so let’s discuss the new look she debuted in an Instagram story.
To start things off, Egan offered up a clip of her previously darker hair color and showed herself at the hair salon.
That’s when the Y&R star hinted that she was about to shake things up.
“You know me! Always craving a change!!!” Egan said when she shared the clip.
The next video featured Egan showing off her new blonde locks. There was also a photo that gave fans another glimpse at how Egan’s hair color turned out.
After her hair salon visit, Egan offered gratitude for the transformation and called it a “fresh new summer look.”
Of course, this means Chelsea will also be going blonde at some point later this summer. Now that Egan is embracing life as a blonde, Chelsea will do the same.
It’ll take a little time for Melissa Claire Egan’s new look to make it on-screen, but we’ll all be eager to see blonde Chelsea roaming around Genoa City.
Since Chelsea will be trying to reclaim Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) attention from Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and her unborn child, it’s fitting that she’ll be sporting a bolder look down the road.
Although Adam has moved on from Sally romantically, that doesn’t mean he’s stopped caring about her.
Adam doesn’t approve of Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) place in Sally’s life, so he’ll remain concerned about Billy being a terrible husband and father.
Chelsea will struggle with Adam’s fixation on Sally and the baby that’s on the way.
Billy and Adam’s hostility will also cause problems, so sassy, blonde Chelsea may have to take charge somewhere down the line.
